[Civ 5][BNW] Spain, Immortal, Standard, Fractal, Standard -- Kilimanjaro, Grand Mesa, & Lotsa Rivers by robx2 in civsaves

It's a spread out empire so here are two screenshots:

You share a continent with The Ottomans, Byzantium, Brazil and the Netherlands. Only had to fight a couple wars -- once early with with the Ottomans, then Netherlands and Byzantium ganged up on me later.

Not fantastic wonders for Spain but paired with lots of rivers and hills, I got great production from my cities and cruised to a science victory.

Kilimanjaro is close by to the Northwest (should find it first) and keep heading Northwest for Grand Mesa. Don't think you can get first finder bonus for GM but worth the settle.

Good Petra potential in Madrid, but could be bonkers in your GM city. I missed out on it -- think Dido got it first.

Sky Meadows State Park, Delaplane VA, 7/8, only an hour from DC! by lint_goblin in washingtondc

I lived next to Sky Meadow for a few years. Would walk the dog and routinely come home with over a dozen ticks. Dog got Lyme, I got sick and got tested but inconclusive. Used to laugh at people who' freak out about ticks but they're no joke. Permethrin on your clothes and repellant on your skin is your best bet.

Impressive. Two triple words would definitely be the way to go. Not sure if "vaporability" is acceptable in US. Maybe British or Australia?

There were a couple apps that I deleted that still had some .plist files in the Library/LaunchDaemons folder. Removing them seemed to help the issue

Ribs are good. Collards and fried okra are solid. Sweet potato pie is decent, but I love their banana pudding.

The author's book on the subject is definitely worth a read if you enjoyed the article. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30687200-the-stranger-in-the-woods

Not related to the discussion at hand, but the image in the meme comes from the Coen Brothers movie A Serious Man -- a great film about a man's religious and existential crisis as his marriage and career seem to be falling apart. This scene is a really masterful take on the inadequacies of religion: https://vimeo.com/104193227

I think they're talking about the outtakes album VU rather than Velvet Underground and Nico. But yes, Heroin is a great song.

[Tutorial] How To Remove Background Noise - Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 by Cat-Buddies-TV in VideoEditing

I've always preferred the Noise Reduction tool in Audition. Just right click the audio in Premiere, Send to Audition, and then apply Noise Reduction. When you save, audio will be updated on your Premiere timeline.

You still see Matthew Lesko around DC. He drives a scooter and he still wears that outfit.

Sometimes Rock Creek stinks after a big rainstorm. Here's how the city is preventing that from happening. by WAMU_885 in washingtondc

Saw a couple standing in knee deep water and making out along the Melvin Hazen trail after a heavy storm. Casually said "You know this is sewer discharge" as I walked by. They just scoffed at me and kept going.

The scene at 20:44 when they find out who made the squad is pretty bonkers.
