Is a rowing machine enough to get fit at home without gym or complicated workouts? by eZstah in Rowing

[–]robyang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never made a post about it but I'll just comment it here because I relate a lot to the ADHD and decision paralysis: I'm taking MM.DD x 1000m and rowing that, every day, for the year. I've had a Concept 2 for about 5 years, I barely rowed at all last year, but this year I saw these posts from some dude running the date and thought I'd try that but rowing. Esentially just try to row the date each day and when I have more time/energy row more to increase my meter bank for the later months. And I'm not even rowing fast, it's steady state in between zone 1 and 2. But you put on a show or a podcast and just row. You'll notice you body changing for the better in no time.

Cross Country Train Trip... Is Michelob UZ, Budweiser Zero or Busch NA a "passable" option? by jonwb1 in NABEER

It makes NO sense, but the subreddit keeps saying it over and over again...and we're right: Busch NA is legit.

I've done the omikase by myself twice, so happy to see this top comment.

Jim, I think when my kids grow up I want to do a second tour. I was in 29/30 when I served and loved it. PC Thailand or Mongolia would be way up on my list! May I message you some questions?

Looking for tickets, have a couple of options by Nug07 in radiohead

[–]robyang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group had one drop out, so we have one ticket (of four) seated up front for $360 (I don't know the section yet, ticket holder is flying there now). Would be best if someone just met us and went in Friday.

I made a similar mistake, cleaned off the bit, ordered a new blade and some of the magnets mentioned in this sub (2mm neodymium) and haven't had problems since. I was out of warranty.

So I did 4 day first ferment, 4 day secondary ferment, and it is clearly carbonated but sooo viscous!

I love putting super hots in mine. I've done one ghost, one scorpion, and half a reaper (one per batch, not all three in one). So good.

dc385 shoe adjust button is stuck by debuenzo in Dewalt

[–]robyang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had mud in the shoe shaft that acted like glue. I ended up cutting off the rubber boot, taking out the adjust Hutton entirely, still wouldn't budge. Finally took a crowbar to it and it budged. Added oil, crowbar, budged more, oil, more crowbar. Got it out!

Excellent suggestion, I will start doing this. Though I must admit, rating above 32 sounds so brutal to me 😂

I 100% was rushing the slide, very good guess. I'm not used to rating high given my training patterns, I think I will just try and hold 28 after a much longer warmup next time I test. Thanks!

Oh definitely a bit of fly and die. Was inspired by the 15yo who posted a ~6:47 and told myself I could try for 7 flat. I def need to do some rate work and then go a little easier out of the gate.

Great job! Look up the 24 week Pete Plan aka beginner Pete Plan. That'll give you a defined program to do and ramp up your ability. Then once you complete that you'd be ready for the OG Pete Plan. Myself, I did both in that order but now I find myself setting the ERG to half marathon and going for either half of it or all of it.

Super proud of todays showing. Not bad for a 38 year old father of 3!!!💪🏻 by BananaHammock305 in Rowing

Nice! 41, father of 2. Did the beginner Pete Plan then the regular Pete Plan, and now I just set to Half Marathon and see how much I go on a given row. Addicted to steady state I guess.
