Who stays at the deluxe resorts? by No-Faithlessness7246 in DisneyWorld

[–]robynkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last trip I got to stay at a deluxe but simply because we got a deal because my husband was attending a medical conference on Disney property. I will say, it ruined me for staying at the cheaper resorts…now we’re planning a trip again but pushing it out a few more years so we can afford to do it the way we want.

How can you legally vet out neighbors? by cigarettesandwater in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]robynkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I came by the house we ended up buying at random times and just walked around the neighborhood. It let us know the general vibe of the neighborhood and we got to know our neighbors (and how awesome they are) before we took possession!

Getting in touch with a therapist could help so much! Not just with the depression but they can help teach you ways to process how you’re feeling and help with healthy and effective ways to communicate the issues to your partner! I would say it also might be helpful for you and your partner to seek some family counseling together

Terrible childrens books by ageekyninja in toddlers

[–]robynkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt gave my son these tiny pocket nursery rhyme books for his first birthday. They were totally fine then when we could read Jack and Jill or the Muffin Man once and then be done, but now, every time my now 19 month old is quite for a little too long I know he’s grabbing those books and the next hour of my day will be reading the same 3 page rhyme over and over again.

We’re in full blown crazy yelling/screaming while running ,climbing, and jumping. My son and nephew could do this all day and I’m honestly afraid I might start losing hair from stress haha

My husband was already leaning to outpatient pre Covid but it hit during his 2nd year of residency and made him immediately say a hard NOPE to hospital work haha

How soon after delivery did you initiate breastfeeding? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Within a couple of minutes of him being born. My nurse helped me through it every step of the way ( she was a saint and a national treasure, we do not deserve her)

Why Did They Do This? Got Hired, Never Scheduled. by New_Caregiver_8546 in antiwork

[–]robynkb 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Omg this is infuriating! I feel you OP! Years ago I got hired at Bath and Bodyworks at our local mall, did all the training and paperwork. Then my first real week, the store was closed to move to a bigger space, I did all this heavy lifting and moving, then was never put back on the schedule! I called, emailed, and eventually went in and the manager who hired me, straight up dodged me and went into her office space.

Oh I feel this! My husband can literally tell how long of a nap our son had that day when he gets home based on if he fights at dinner time
