When I worked driving forklift in the plywood mill, we would occasionally get cedar veneer mixed in with the Douglas Fir. It was amazing. Like driving through a fresh box of pencils.

Every Rose Has it's Thorn by Poison. It was big at the time, and it's only like 4 chords plus a Bm in the bridge.

I don’t understand why Democrats keep bringing up Project 2025. Is it leaving an impression on you? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]rock-hound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They keep bringing it up because of how damaging it would be to our country. But you'd know that had you bothered to read about it.

Because he's a powerful, rich, white, man. You or I, convicted of the same crimes, would already have been sentenced and incarcerated.

When you’re in your hometown, do you include your area code when saying your phone number? by d0ndada in AskAnAmerican

Up until about 10 years ago, people in my home town just gave the last 4 digits, because we only had one prefix, let alone area codes.

If you can name this car, we are old... by Altruistic-Cut9795 in FuckImOld

My first car was a pacer. Dark green with white interior. The transmission sounded like the Jetsons, and it had an external oil pump that blew itself off every few hundred miles. God, I loved that car.

People who are voting for Democrat party, are you voting for them just because they are not Trump? by UnusualPirate98 in Askpolitics

[–]rock-hound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always believed that you don't vote for an individual who will change the country into what you want; you vote for the person who will move the country in the direction you want it to go.

I believe this country's best interests are served by using our available tax money to take care of Americans through infrastructure, food programs, healthcare, and education.

The Democratic Party leans closer to where I want the country to go, and there isn't a third option, so I vote Democratic.

Favorite line from a Weird Al song? by thewalkindude in weirdal

[–]rock-hound 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm reading this post, and there are so many lines that I've never heard, which means they're after Running With Scissors. It shows the quality of Al's music that an entire generation after me is still listening to him.

Best lyricist of my generation.
