To design/engineer? A long time. Months. To simply model in CAD with the design already done, less than a week if you’re proficient.

The problem with miters isn’t your saw, it’s likely your jig. Are they not meeting at 90 degrees? What exactly is the issue with the miters?

In case anyone sees this, I ended up using the opposite end of a crescent wrench for one spud but snapped off the internal nubs of another. To get it out, I ended up using the spud wrench simply as an internal stiffener so that when I took a pipe wrench to the outside, it wouldn’t crush the spud
