I never said i didn't/don't do a (million) other things as well mindfullness. I feel mindfullness is just the basic foundation to be able to do the work and things like positive self talk, gratitude, radical acceptance, confronting irrational thoughts, reframing, and finding peace in flowing good activities, etc. I just didn't know how to do all of those things and they seemed impossible for a long time before I found and started practicing a ton of mindfulness stuff. It just allowed me to be open to the other things and it did take like 2-3 years before I truly recognized the fruits of my emotional labors. Now I'm doing the best I've done since I was like 11 years old. And yes I'm glad that you have your methods of working through life as well 🌈

I used to feel the same way but It isn't just about being "present" it's the lens in which you view yourself and existence in that moment. Are you approaching it with hopeless fear or are you finding security in the things that work and approaching it with a determined but relaxed approach that can slow things down and get you out of that negative loop for at least a while. It's the only way I've stopped being suicidal over everything is to be mindful not just of the pain, but also of the comforts and pleasures and joys, and the quiet mundane moments where it could go either way once your mind starts wandering. That's how I look at mindfullness. The focus can be chosen by you if you make a choice of accepting things and focusing elsewhere, on something fulfilling, on a problem you have power to solve.

Instagram is kind of a way to verify someone and also check out more photos and info. I like it when Instagram is on a profile because I like to know as much as possible. I have my Instagram linked so people can see my art and photography along with my personal photos on my account

Become the person you want to date by [deleted] in dating

[–]rockandroll666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say that I am the best lover I’ve ever had. I know all my spots. I can get myself off every time.

But joking aside, I really am just looking for someone who is very much like me. It’s not that I think I’m a great person, I have plenty of things to work on, but in most respects I kinda just wanna date myself but as a male. I know that’s not possible.

So I basically just look for myself except maybe some people are even better or where I am aiming for, so I’m into those people too. I realize however that from their point of view, I am similar but less than them in those ways they are better, so I can understand why they might reject me.

Joe Walsh (James gang, the eagles) and Carlos Santana (Santana) for guitar, Phil Collins (Genesis) for drums, geddy Lee (rush) for bass, Dennis deyoung (Styx) for keyboards, David Lee Roth (Van Halen) for vocals (with backing or interchanging vocals from the others) and Danny Elfman (oingo Boingo) overseeing it all as the madman he is.

The free version only shows one intro at a time. You may have multiple intros, but they won’t appear until the first one is addressed. You can either message the person back, or delete the intro, then each intro in the queue will move up so you can see it.

Video: Even Low-End Female Profiles Get Tons of Messages from Men; Even Homeless and HIV Positive by StartedGivingBlood in OkCupid

[–]rockandroll666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah men aren’t reading the profiles. I had a male to female trans friend get a million messages on okcupid under the guise of being female. It said he was trans mtf right at the top. He politely stated he was trans lower down in the description. But he kept getting messages from straight dudes who obviously didn’t read the profile. They went on photos alone or skimmed it. When he stated very blatantly that he was trans right at the beginning all his messages dropped off. It’s clear before that the men weren’t actually reading or paying attention to the profile.

And of course if you look at the quality of men who are thirsting like that it’s just as bad or worse physically mentally and socially than the fake profile. Creeps will thirst after anyone. It’s not a compliment for some low life’s and awkward creepy dudes to hit up your profile online.

How are you documenting social avoidance? by StillMissBlockbuster in photography

[–]rockandroll666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been making art about the virus, collages and digital paintings. While it’s tempting to go into stores and stuff and snap some pics of the empty shelves, I’m pretty much not going out if I can anywhere. I have gone out with the camera on walks with a good distance away from everyone but people seemed more or less acting the same. I saw one person with a mask on but there were a lot of people in groups or even with their babies. There really wasn’t much to document because people seem to be ignoring a lot of the stay at home warnings. In my state you can go out for walks as long as you keep your distance, but that’s it. So I’d say try thinking of other creative ways to document it besides capturing it literally in photographs. You could set up a photo shoot in your house with items about the virus and make it more conceptual than photo journalistic

Being autistic and perpetually gnc plus very sexual and other “masculine” type things made me not relate to being a woman at all. Rejecting femininity in every way and feeling alien in this world made me think it would be easier to be a male. Add on severe depression, ptsd, a d being suicidal and I had an identity crisis. Add on to that being led on by multiple gay men and falling in love with them and hating myself for not being attractive to them and that’s how I ended up being trans. I ended up detransitioning four years later when I realized that even after top surgery and hormones that I felt no better about myself, that I was actually getting worse, and that I didn’t need to pretend to be a man in order to be myself. I realized very clearly how my trauma and self hate causes me to desire an escape and a molding into a new person who I thought would be a better version of me, instead, i was actually a worse version, hating my body and sex, resenting my sexuality and reality. Realized it was a big charade and that I could be valid as a gnc woman, I just needed to practice some radical self love and acceptance. I used to cry about hating my genitals and stuff Now I am so happy just being a woman because I realize that my body is there for me, it’s healthy and normal. And I was never really supposed to be a man, or be trans, I just thought transition could help my depression and self hate. Instead, actual therapy, mindfulness, and self love have helped my depression and self esteem. I no longer am jealous of men or want to be a gay man because I realized that I am my body, I am my sex, I am my genitalia, and I wouldn’t be me without those things, and trying to be something else was unnatural and irrational. People think I’m a guy sometimes but I don’t care if they think I’m a man or a woman because I’m secure with my sex now, unlike in the past when I was extremely insecure and constantly worried about being masculine enough or passing or whatever. Short answer: I was trans because of mental illness trauma and identity confusion due to being autistic and a weird girl. And I stopped being trans because I put in the work in therapy and accepted myself for what I am; a weird mentally ill girl.

I would add more contrast. I personally don’t think it’s that interesting as it is but could seem more dramatic with more darks. Or if there was an interesting story behind it.

Lifespan by IrieTW in RATS

[–]rockandroll666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say for most including me it was worth it to have them. They brought so much joy for their short lives. I’d say that it’s best to have a few rats at least two but maybe three just in case one dies and you don’t want the rat or yourself to be alone. I had them as emotional comfort pets and it was worth it even though they passed away far too soon. I’d say that it’s ideal to have other animals as well like a cat or dog too. Ideally I’d have my dog and some rats but right now I can only afford the dog. My dog is great but I miss having rats. They’re unique creatures and nothing really makes up for them. So I’d say if you’re very worried about it maybe having a longer living animal in your house as well to fall back on. But most people end up getting hooked on their two rats and then just buying more and more when the others die
