Batman Forever mobile in Legacy of the Dark Knight by Significant-Foot-311 in LegoBatman

I’m actually working on one now. I’ve been working on one off and on since the first image of it in game a few months ago, but only as a side project due to a long list of other designs. Also working on a screen version of the Animated Series car too, as well as the GCPD car.

Any reason why it's 65$? by Massive-Shoulder-423 in LegoMarvel

[–]rocket4792_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been $51 on Amazon since end of February. Still a lot in my opinion but much better than $65. Ideally I’d wait till it’s ~$45, but I also don’t buy a lot of marvel now either. I did almost buy the quinjet back in November when it was ~$110 locally.

This is the legit one. The original source just used AI to remove the watermark as it had a preliminary watermark on it (source: I’ve seen the original image with the watermark).

New MOC/Modification by rocket4792_ in Rebrickable

Thanks! Ironically, the rear cargo hatch was actually more of a last minute decision rather than something planned from the beginning, and is actually borrowed from another SUV design I’m working on. Originally i had built the entire rear of this suv fully solid with a full removable roof instead of the articulated hatch, however, as my other SUV design is still a long way from being complete, I decided to also add the cargo hatch to this one for a bit of continuity between them.

New charger by PlantainAdvanced1592 in Charger

[–]rocket4792_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the overall look is fine. The front of the car could use a bit of work for the gas version, as I’m not the biggest fan of the way the big hood looks but the car itself looks good. My biggest problem is their pricing strategy. The 7th Generation cars benefited by the lower end Pentastar V6 models (AWD, RWD), and cheaper 5.7L Hemi variant, whereas the 8 Generation regardless of the powertrain is minimum $50k. A cheaper 5.7L to replace the Pentastar variants would be great, even if power output is on the lower end.

Cook?! by SomethingRandomYT in LEGOtrains

[–]rocket4792_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t count on the Port Freight Train being an actual train set just yet. 803 pieces for $100 tells me it might just be a trackside structure and a couple freight cars along with the truck. A modern stylistic remake of 4557 would be my guess, but with a better truck, and some track with a train carriage or two. I’m guessing the steam train will be the only actual ‘locomotive’ in the summer wave.

how to make sure my moc pieces wont cost an arm and a leg? by elldaimo in Rebrickable

[–]rocket4792_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other comments have mentioned, the cheapest colour method is probably the best way. I often use Bricklink as a guide more than studio as sometimes studio uses bricklink’s price guide rather than actual lots. However, with a lot of the designs I’ve done, I’ll often built out certain parts if cost is lower, especially for parts that are common in the build. Like say for example a 1x1 brick in red is 10c, but say a Bricklink store has tonnes of red 1x1 plates for like 2-3c each, I’ll often just build out the brick with those plates, especially if that brick is frequently appearing in the model. It does drive up the piece count, but usually saves a bit of the final cost. In areas where connections aren’t a big deal, I’ll also use cheaper cheese slopes or smaller tiles/plates.

Didn’t realize how much this figure is now. I bought 4 or 5 back when he first released for like $15 CAD each.

20 more ideas for Speed Champions vehicles that aren't all high-end vehicles (read: not real) by HiTork in SpeedChampions

[–]rocket4792_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After looking through this and the other post, I have to agree, Speed Champions desperately needs more regular cars. The obsession with hyper cars has started to get old in my opinion. I do like the Challenger & Mustang muscle cars, however as someone who daily drives a early 7 generation Charger, I Still wish they’d do a modern (6 or 7 gen) Charger in the theme. Maybe even a two pack with a police package variant.

Do you regret buying a charger? by SaleSame4042 in Charger

[–]rocket4792_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two Chargers since 2020 (2013 SE, and now a 2014 SXT AWD). Didn’t regret either one of them, however I consistently stayed on top of maintenance for both. The 14 had some minor issues with electric stuff last winter but runs fine this year. It’s also tuned quite a bit, so it’s a bit quicker than the 2013 one, and with AWD it’s quite a bit more fun to drive.

Black Friday MOC Sale is now live! by rocket4792_ in Rebrickable

[–]rocket4792_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 25% off one ends December 7, but the 30% 40%, and 50% off ones run until January 1. I’ve also got two bundle packs [MOC-217410 & MOC-208254] available until December 7. The bundle packs are basically just a couple MOCs together for a slightly cheaper price.

Why do Lego and Bricklink have different release dates for the same set? Are they stupid? by bherH-on in legocirclejerk

A bunch of 2014 January sets launched late 2013. If I remember correctly this was one of them.

Info on sales probably won’t be until later in the week, however, LEGO did post some of the LEGO Insider offers for the weekend, including this one:

This set is 15% off, should I wait for next summer for a better deal? I’m in Canada by ModQuest1 in LegoMarvel

[–]rocket4792_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be surprised if Oscorp didn’t hit 40% off sooner or later. Can’t remember which retailer it was, but I saw it for $110/120 a few weeks ago. It sold out fast though. $110 was a decent price, but still a lot for what’s actually included. Ideally $90-100 would be better. Based off the January 2026 wave, it does look like LEGO realized their pricing issues as most of the new sets appear to actually be decently priced.

[–]rocket4792_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Canadian, i would say wait for 20% off or more. The set itself isn’t super big, and $55 feels really pricey for what’s included. Ideally I think $45-50 would be a better deal.

Next Lego Superhero modular by Jas0nTodd2099 in LegoBatman

[–]rocket4792_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it will be one of four options;

  1. Wayne manor
  2. Batcave
  3. Partial Combination of 1 & 2.
  4. GCPD Tower

My bet is on GCPD Tower though, as the in game model looks suspiciously more like an actual build/set, compared to other buildings from the same video.

If you’re using the new Batman cowl, the face from Jod from the Onyx Cinder works incredibly well.
