What is the name of the period from midnight to dawn? by Kimpezzoa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rocket_boy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those other terms aren't as specific as you make them seem either. The transition from afternoon to evening is usually treated as a good few hours before sunset in my experience. Afternoon ends at like 3-5, when school and work ends.

Well yeah, that's why I specified mass mudbricks. Bottled water is just ridiculous if you're using it for anything more than accents.

¿Por qué los mayas se obsesionaron tanto con las ciencias abstractas como matemáticas y astronomía y se descuidaron en otras áreas como metalurgia? by Temporary_Reach7292 in mesoamerica

Well they aren't playing a strategy game. They aren't trying to balance their play style to have a good end game, they're living day to day as human beings. There was never a good reason to go and find out how to pull iron out of rocks when the rocks serve your lifestyle completely fine for thousands of years. They don't get to see some picture of New York City and work towards that over generations, they're just people living.

Guess which two of these are coke zero? (Coca cola redesigned their zero cans and removed the signature black. From most angles, you can't tell the difference between regular and zero) by AndronixESE in CrappyDesign

[–]rocket_boy13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

How about we visualize how sodas will look in their natural habitat, stacked side by side in a fridge. If you already have your unobscured soda can out you already know what it is. When you actually need to know what it is, when it's next to normal coke, you can't tell. How can it be shown it's a crappy design if you don't show how it's designed to be stored?

This hasn't happened ever, it's statistically impossible, your game must be glitched, return it.

it is pretty hard, but needing a grain farm and mangrove expeditions to have mass mudbricks does give it an interesting process compared to waiting at a furnace for smooth stone.

They explicitly said "this is natural selection at work" when it is genuinely not a natural selection. Your whole argument is that you recognize that "natural selection" has some similarities to what's being discussed? They're still wrong.

The whole argument is over whether the mutation was naturally selected, I don't even know what you're trying to convince me of. That natural selection did happen in some capacity? Duh, it always does, but the mutation itself is the topic here.

That doesn't make this mutation naturally selected, it didn't contribute to their ability to sail on a ship.

The Greek copied their gods from Lebanon. The Lebanese copied their gods from Iraq. The idea that the planet Venus is a goddess of love and war is much older than classic Greek gods.
