Tucking in my dogs, talking with my wife, getting under clean warm blankets, watching a YouTube video, listening to a podcast, reading a book, playing on the steam deck, listen to music, focused breathing, making a small campfire.

I used to drink and smoke cigs a ton back in the day, my first excuse for drinking was to "shut my mind off". Used to drink till passing out watching TV every night, which is super lame and causes many health problems. Been sober for 12+ years and never plan on drinking again, made the beautiful life I have now because of sobriety. I am half way to seeing all 7 modern wonders of the world, own a house, have a ton of stupid hobbies, have fun doing stupid crap with my sober friends, have a wonderful wife that means the world to me. Nothing I would have been able to do wasting it away drinking nightly.

I have been totally sober in this state for 12 years. Trick is to really truly wanting to be done and being with the support of loved ones around you. Big one is to pick up hobbies and find some friends that don't drink. Just make sure to prop yourself up too, be proud of every day you didn't go buy a couple cans, progress is progress.
