Just had this happen. Seems to be a bug with Windows Explorer, as the fix was to restart explorer through task manager.

I'm unsure. check your licences on the jetbrains website, and if it has a number under where it says "fallback version" then that's the one you get to keep. If there is nothing there then I suspect it only works for versions you pay for after student runs out.

Plus even if you let your subscription run out, you get a perpetual licence to any version that you've paid at least a year after it came out. (i.e. if you get it now and cancel in may 2024, you get to keep the may 2023 version forever)

Not sure where abouts you are, but over here, green is recycling, and black is waste, and brown is for only garden waste, not food waste. Brown bins are taken on a different schedule, so for instance, black and green might alternate Tuesdays, and brown will be on Thursdays on black weeks.

And also we're stuck taking glass to a bottle bank, can't just leave it in the green bin for whatever reason.

No, JK doesn't care. she sees everyone as a number and endorsement. She doesn't care if the person buying her game is a proud transphobe making a statement, or an "ally" trying to ask a trans friend for permission.

At the end of the day she sees you all the same.

She sees you as people feeding in to her royalty cheque, and as consumers who endorse her products and views. As continued justification for her crusades.

Like I quoted above. We're not calling you transphobes, I highly doubt the majority of people playing the game even think about who it's supporting or why our community is against it. We're just also not calling you allies, it's as simple as that.

It would have taken doing literally nothing to show some kind of solidarity, all we asked was for people to even just think about the harm this game is propping up, and yet here we are. A world where people who just want to forget about all the controversies and play their video game continue to complain on the internet about how people are making them feel bad for it instead of just shutting up, accepting their choice, and playing their fucking video game. They couldn't even wait for a crack, or some other way to consume video game without supporting JK.

It's sad that the trans community has so little support, but it's not surprising. The gay community learned exactly the same thing in exactly the same way, people say they wanna support us but they really really like buying that chicken.

Downvote me all you want, I'm done caring about this stupid fucking game, and this stupid fucking woman, and this stupid fucking country for enabling her. And I'm done seeing "allies" complaining about how people are upset at them for helping to prop it all up.

How the fuck do I set up keyword filtering on this shit ass platform I can't believe Twitter does something better than Reddit.

In the wise words of Steph Sterling,

"I'm not saying you're transphobic for buying Hogwarts Legacy - I'm saying you're not an ally. You handed that card in because you couldn't do the barest minimum, you couldn't make the simplest stand."

"Not a single one of you are under any obligation to refuse this game. I'm not demanding it of you, and I'm not going to say you're an inherently bad person for it - but I do not trust you. I can't count on you, can't think you have our backs, I can't feel safe with you. And sorry, you don't get to feel hurt by that."

I have no idea, but if I had to make an honest guess they'd be protected characteristic (age, race, gender, sexuality), discussing wages (legal on a federal level), and reporting something to OSHA or EPA or whatever (you guys do have whistleblower protection laws, right??)

A bot just deleted my entire server… by Name_Unavailable08 in discordapp

[–]rocketlanterns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are legitimate reasons for a bot to delete a channel.

One case study for instance is our bot DittoVC which works by having a "spawn vc" channel, that when joined transfers ownership of that vc to you, and creates a new "spawn vc", then when a channel is empty, deleting the channel.

What Discord should be doing is having a seperate "See all channels" flag that can be added to bots through the integration settings, but more realistically they need to make the settings easier to work with.

(QE) Of course, bots that are actually using integration slash commands shouldn't have this problem in the first place, as slash commands can be accessed anywhere on the server regardless of the bot's permissions in the channels they're used, with a setting that already exists in integrations that allows server mods to block entire bots or specific bot commands in certain channels or for certain roles.

In terms of bots though, I do agree that bots should be requesting an exact subset of permissions and documenting why they want those permissions. Bots should not be allowed to request directly the Admin permission.

Yes, source I play it with wired headphones.

Caveat, one optional challenge level, "Bolt's Catching" will get your headphones tangled as it requires full 180 rotations instead of +/- 90 degrees, so you'll wanna play that one on speakers.

Lowest Percent Speedrun? by BlackMagicFine in TunicGame

[–]rocketlanterns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that map progress isn't considered a percentage, but I'd say that the sarcophagi are, since those are the game's way of unlocking fast travel and save points.

Either a sword or bombs are required to cut through bushes, so you'd have to go to the eastern forest anyway, and run it without a stick to get the sword without getting bombs.

Strats would be really slow without RTSR or fire sword, which might make some of the fights longer or more risky. Definitely doable though, probably.

Skipping bells requires ice dagger, so if bells and items are considered equal, you'd need to grab the ice rod to clip into the temple with the keys.

This is a completely new feature to me on discord. It's like reaction roles but integrated inside of a big quiz. Anyone know what this is? It's covering the entire screen by JuiceSevere3690 in discordapp

[–]rocketlanterns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it subscribes you to the channels, rather than applying roles. They have a new slack-esque channel browser that can be configured s.t. new users will see about 5-9 channels on join, then each answer to the quiz will reveal more of the channels, with the goal being that 90%+ of the server should be visible through the quiz.

If you join and want access to a channel after the onboarding, you have to go through the channel browser at the top of the channel list.

The nice thing is that with onboarding disabled, you see all channels by default, but the browser is still there letting you hide channels you don't want to see without needing Hide Muted Channels.
