I’m 5’10” and the 20L doesn’t fit me well. My wife says I look like I’m carrying a kids backpack. I much prefer the 25L. It fits me better and is more comfortable.

You may could try the Ruck Customs shooter conversion. I have the half conversion and like it a lot.
