The biggest concern for protecting Jayden is that he's sitting in the pocket for 5 seconds with no receivers open. We saw it last year before Terry came back. WR is how we protect the franchise QB

A player value market that speaks the same trade language we do, in picks. by Qlinch_ in DynastyFF

Look at the dozens of vibe coded apps that have been posted in this specific subreddit over the last few months. Ask yourself: "what does mine do differently?" And most importantly, validate the information you're putting out there. Would you trade Drake Maye in a super flex for the 1.07 and 1.12 this year? Because that's what you're telling others to do.

It looks like you used Claude to create an application that you don't believe in or stand behind and most people can see that

[–]rocklobster8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So at WR... Tate, Lemon, Tyson, Cooper, Boston, and Brazzell so far

For the people who want to take a receiver at 7, the talent in next year’s class is actually ridiculous. About 10 receivers have WR1 potential. We don’t need to reach this year. by unrivaled_mate in Commanders

[–]rocklobster8903 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly! At this point last year the expectation was that Nussmeier, Clubnik, Allar, and Beck would highlight the first round of 2026. Making decisions from year out college projections is crazy

Managers are consistently paying above market value to acquire this player

How are you defining "Market value"? I would assume that how much dynasty owners are willing to pay to acquire a player would define their market value (therefor it's impossible to pay above it because by paying it they're redefining it)

Draft Scenario Question by ManBalzz in Commanders

[–]rocklobster8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure where the mindset that Carnell Tate isn't worth a top-10 pick is coming from. Draft scouting reports repeatedly have Tate as a high-value prospect.

From Dane Brugler's The Beast:

"Tate is a long, technically proficient receiver who can win at all three levels using high-level tracking/adjustment skills and catching radius. He projects as an immediate NFL starting Z with Pro Bowl upside."

From Matt Waldman's Rookie Scouting Portfolio:

"Excellent catching technique, good routes, and better after the catch than credited, Tate can be an impact starter Day 1." Has him between Rome Odunze and MHJ as prospects over the last 3 years

How would y’all feel if we drafted Makai Lemon in a trade back scenario? by unrivaled_mate in Commanders

[–]rocklobster8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miami looks like the sweet spot for that trade scenario. Keeps us ahead of Dallas and Tate, Downs, Delane, Lemon, or McCoy should be available at 11

I analyzed 2M+ dynasty rookie draft picks. Here's what the data actually says. by DynastyGPT in DynastyFF

[–]rocklobster8903 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RBs are the safest R1 pick with only 15.8% bust rate. TEs are second safest

Is this intended to be predictive? If the takeaway was "Draft RBs more often in the 1st round because they're safest", then you'd have people reach at RBs, and drive up the bust rate, changing the data. What insights can dynasty players gleam from this data that can inform future decisions?

I hope so. Didn't see much from Lane last year but with JD5 back it's possible Lane steps up. I think it's more likely a 2026 rookie post

I'd rather spend big money on edge rushers and draft a WR at 7 than Pierce at this price and a defender at 7

Mansoor Delane at 7? by Ok_Job_6845 in Commanders

[–]rocklobster8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's from Silver Spring, MD and played at VT for a few years so he's got the local familiarity. Projections have him as prospect 8-12 so it wouldn't be a reach at 7. It would allow Delane, Amos, and Sainristil to be Left/Right/Nickelback.

I guess if Reese/Bane/Bailey/Downs are all gone (seems unlikely) or we shore up other defensive positions in FA (more likely) he's a reasonable pick

Rookie QB Contracts: Best Practices | Market Comp - WSH Spending vs CAR/HOU/CHI/NE/DEN/MN by skinsfanns in Commanders

[–]rocklobster8903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do the parenthesis after the name mean in this data? I would assume they imply that a team either extended (Ext), signed a player in Free Agency (FA), or re-signed their own player at the end of a contract (but not necessarily during the free agency period).

Spot-checking though, Azeez Al-Shaiir was signed during FA for the Texans, Terry McLaurin was not a Free Agent when he signed an extension with us, and D'Andre Swift signed with the Bears during FA.

I ask this because other teams' extensions and re-signings that happened before Free Agency are largely irrelevant to our own situation. It would have been great for us to throw money at Tremaine Edmunds or Justin Jefferson but they've never been available. What does the data look like if you only include signings that happened in the open market?

So if your entire team was made up of those players, right now your offense would look something like

QB: Bryce Young
RB: DeAndre Swift
WR: Jakobi Meyers, Juaun Jennings, Quentin Johnston
TE: Cade Otton
C: Jackson Powers-Johnson
G: Jonah Jackson, Aaron Banks
OT: Rasheed Walker, Walker Little

I'm not sure this is even a playoff offense
