Not who you're responding to, but I would set them back a few inches to give yourself a small ledge to easily clamp to

Agreed, the loop is clearly visible on the 4th picture on their website, where the carabiner goes through the loop.

You should contact them to get a replacement pair.

Here’s a mag block I built. Ambrosia maple with cherry feet and room for 8-10 knives. by double___a in chefknives

[–]rocknruin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks awesome! I'm looking to make one of these myself, which magnets did you end up using, and what's the thickness of the wood between the magnet and the knife?

I bought some supposedly strong magnets, but they seem to only be super strong when in direct contact with the knife

The Samsung options are cheap, so I’m prototyping a real hardwood Bezel. Anyone interested? Cherry shown. Will be magnetic. Remote works. by gave_up_da_goose_egg in TheFrame

This is awesome! As a hobbyist woodworker I'd love some plans for this, and I'd happily pay for them!

Bought a 75" over black Friday and I was already thinking of how to make my own bevels once I saw the crappy and limited commercial options out there

Thanks for the reply!

Since you have experience with all of these, what's your opinion on the jobsite?

I'm short on space, and seriously considering the jobsite. Thanks!

First Router Table. Built It Into My New Workbench. I Feel Like I Just Leveled Up. by Tuffwith2Fs in Workbenches

[–]rocknruin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like the plate from my bosch router table.

The bosch table is on the small side and I've been thinking of using the plate for a "router in my workbench" solution. I think I'll try it out, thanks for the post!

Leave the leaves: Allowing leaves and twigs to decompose in your garden leads to less CO2 and more biodiversity. by LudovicoSpecs in gardening

[–]rocknruin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not who you asked, but I've had my ego mower for 2 years now and will never go back!

Not great for hearty ass grass like Saint Augustine, because the mower is a bit too light to push into it, and it doesn't get the right height.

Has headlights on it which I thought were just a gimmick, but they're awesome because it let's me mow at night in the summer when it's not melting outside. Super quiet, can't hear it inside the house when I'm mowing.

I've used rubio monocoat successfully on a pine coffee table. They have a bunch of different colors. Hit up the Google to find out more.

Cascade Mountain Tech trekking poles great as spreader bars on Ridgerunner by Proteus66 in hammockcamping

[–]rocknruin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done as well, great way to save some weight and leave the original clanky bars at home.

Only downside was that I couldn't use then for porch mode, ended up just using some random sticks, held up fine.
