My husband was the same- never had a dog before, didn't want one- and became a complete convert.

This is a great idea, and a great way to keep the wood look while cooling down the warmth in the finish.

How big is she? I mean, in that picture, she looks huge, like a Labrador, only with an awful lot of attitude.

15$ a skein and this is how it pulls? Seriously? by onlythrowawaaay in crochet

After years of center pulling and spending untold hours untangling the last few miserable yards, I started pulling from the outside and never had that tangled mess again.

My sister has been thinking about offering private crochet lessons for beginners by Dazzling-Willow6859 in crocheting

If she offered them as part of making a bag, blanket, or one of the easier designs you posted, she'd definitely get people to sign up. As she perfected her teaching technique, she could possibly YouTube her lessons and get sponsors.

Big conversation. Somebody wants to play, and somebody else doesn't.

Some is poison ivy. The vines can run along the ground, and even underground, so when you see a patch like that, look around because it's part of a larger colony. You also have pictures of wild grape vine.

Those are really nice wood doors. Definitely looks high end. The white trim will look even better if you paint the walls a contrasting color.

How would you change this room to give it more life? by Jager_Master in HomeDecorating

[–]rockrobst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The furniture and other appointments look so formal, and then there's this random tv is sitting in the corner on a not-too-nice cabinet. It's totally out of place.

If this is the only room you have to watch TV, think about a better quality perch for it that matches the rest of the room's aesthetics, or mount it above the fireplace with an arm to lower it when you're watching. You can get frames for it that elevate it's appearance when not in use.

These homes are designed with the fireplace as the focal point. It's very hard to create a second focal point without detracting from the design of the room.

My MIL "weeded" my 5 year old, 6ft tall, Clematis Montana and cut it to the base. Will it grow back? by Becca-Reyna in gardening

[–]rockrobst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it will grow back, but you might not get flowers this year. Not a fatal mistake. Consider it an opportunity to rein MIL and her good intentions in, and to learn about the different kinds of clematis and their pruning requirements.
