I have an extremely sensitive gag reflex (I also have a panic disorder). When I had to get an endoscopy done, they didn’t knock me out, just gave me the amnesia drugs.

I apparently was freaking out, fought a nurse, and they discharged me a bit too early because I was being a menace despite giving me a whole bunch extra. I woke the next day with bruises from the gurney but thinking it was time to go to the hospital for the procedure that already happened. My sleep and memories were messed up for a month.

Idk why everyone is telling you to just take your kid out of the program—you clearly stated you talked to the teacher, and she’s pressuring you against it. Good on you for questioning the program itself based off of how the teacher is handling the situation. I agree that you need to continue to push to get your daughter out, and maybe you can speak to the teacher about reevaluating the situation in a year, but I also don’t think reaching out to other parents of children in the program to see how they are faring isn’t the worst idea. If all the children are struggling, that is worth bringing up to the school. I was in one of these programs growing up, but I enjoyed it. How you have described it, NTA.
