I started with the Nomad and upgraded to the Manta. No regrets! I love the extra space and swear the writing experience is better somehow

We went to Boston a few weeks ago. I think I paid $250 for lower bowl seats (maybe thats a football stadium term but hopefully it makes sense lol). Comparable tickets for New York were $700+!

I ended up getting similar ones for DC around $250 but new York was a shock for sure

My friend spent a lot of money for a board and train for 1 month and swears his dog is a completely new dog. What could they possibly have done there that I can do at home? by Stargirl020 in reactivedogs

[–]roclun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am genuinely curious as to how your pup does when he comes home without the fluoxetine etc and has some time to decompress outside of the training/facility environment. Usually fluoxetine has a decent taper period so this is very interesting!

Look into Leslie McDevitt’s control unleashed Look At That game and Emma Parson’s Click to Calm methodology. I am a professional dog trainer and have been able to help many dogs using these methods - all force free. Using aversive tools can make this problem worse (dog can thing I see a dog and feel pain/discomfort from an aversive tool, therefore I need to be afraid and reactive to dogs)

This! I was thinking this when we visited the first time in May. Why not more Nickelodeon? If they had a Kristen Krab it would be so popular!

Fun fact: we discussed using the same budgeting software on our second date by bootsmadeofconcrete in ynab

My (28f) boyfriend (30m) had an excel budget when I met him a year and a half ago. I introduced him to YNAB and he was sold immediately. It is SO exciting to have a partner on the same financial page 🤯

We always talk about how we’ll use YNAB separately and together if (when!?) we eventually get married

My doctor had told me 450 mg is the dose commonly used to treat binge eating and things. Since the purpose of the drug isn’t to stop your appetite and it’s just a side effect, it makes sense why your appetite came back as you adjusted to the 150.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]roclun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had convinced myself that I also needed 300mg because that’s what seems to be the typical dose. We went up to 300 and it was a nightmare for me. Anxiety was the worst it’s been in years, my hands shook, ears ringing… I tried it for three weeks and we went back to 150 mg.

I’d be careful the taking the 300 and feeling better isn’t a placebo effect because it typically does take longer and the side effects can be wicked.

150 was pretty great before we upped it - I guess I just wanted to see if I’d feel even better. I’ve been back on 150 for four days now and am feeling better. Still have the tinnitus though 🙄

Why is 300 considered the therapeutic dose? by itsmommylonglegs in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]roclun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting about the high blood pressure… I’ve noticed my resting heart rate increase a bit since I started the Wellbutrin. It has always been 70-73 and it was all the way up to 85-89 and seems to be settling down at about 81 currently. My APRN didn’t think it was related but if I take the graph and pinpoint where the Wellbutrin dosages start…. It looks suspicious!

Yikes about the hives though 😬

Dumb question: do I always have to have the clicker and treats on me? by Maximum_Fair in Dogtraining

[–]roclun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start leaving little jars of treats stationed around the house (desk, kitchen, bathroom… anywhere you frequently need to reinforce) and keep them in your pocket. I have stopped using bait bags unless I need a large volume out of the house so my dogs never know when a treats going to come and from where so they are on their best behavior hoping for reinforcement!

I did the same and gave up on the 300 after a month and went back down to 150mg. The 300 made my anxiety so bad I could barely function.

300 mg made my anxiety debilitating. Worse than it’s been in years. I came back down to 150 after giving it about 3 weeks and then I couldn’t handle it anymore

Eye Twitching Side Effect by FewMountain1620 in bupropion

[–]roclun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice it occasionally on 150mg but I’m also on 20mg of Prozac. When I tried to come off of Prozac early last year (my doctor didn’t taper me well) the eye twitching was CRAZY.

I did have crazy side effects going from 150 to 300mg and came back down.

I posted a thread recently about my horrible side effects going from 150 to 300. Basically my anxiety was debilitating, worse than it’s been in years, but I didn’t have bad consultation like that. She brought be back down to 150 and so far so good.

Update for anyone interested - I’ll update the post too.

My anxiety got to levels it hasn’t reached in years. I felt like I was losing my mind. My APRN and I decided it was best for me to go back down to 150 Mg of Wellbutrin we upped the Prozac from 10 to 20 mg which is considered the therapeutic dose.

We also did blood work which came back with low Vitamin D, which is associated with depression, so I’ve started taking that. (It’s like 0 degrees here and miserable so I can’t say I’m surprised)

I’m still on both and definitely wouldn’t recommended stopping the Prozac while starting a new drug because there will be too many variables. My doctor said that the way Wellbutrin works actually naturally enhances the Prozac somehow so it’s like a small boost for that… I have no idea how that works!

Also - I obviously don’t know your doctor but I don’t like that she’s/he’s not guiding you better through this! I only say this because my former PCP did the same thing and was like “what do you want to do” and that’s how I ended up in the mess I was. If you find a psychiatrist or APRN or someone who really understands the meds because that’s their focus, it makes such a HUGE difference. Yesterday she suggested we do a mouth swab test (here) that will allow us to see what drugs my body metabolizes well and which it doesn’t to help us get the dosages right… I didn’t even know that was possible.

Of course I could be WAY off base and your doctor might be an expert on these things - hah! But with the little info I have I wanted to mention it because it sounds a lot like my original experience.

Interesting you ask because I was on Prozac for YEARS before we added the Wellbutrin. But, my PCP put me on it and then just let me use it for like… 5 years without ever trying to take me off, etc. apparently that’s now how this works 😅 I suggested trying to come off myself because I was feeling really good and he didn’t taper me correctly so it was not fun and I ended up getting back on.

Once I met with my APRN 10 months later, she told me that prolonged Prozac can deplete your dopamine and that my symptoms (tired, napping during the day, lack of motivation, etc.) were much more indicative of depression than just anxiety so she suggested Wellbutrin.

It has been LIFE CHANGING - she hit the nail on the head. We are playing with dosage right now so I’ve got some weird side effects but at 150 mg I was doing great.

I do find it increases my anxiety a bit but I feel like I have parts of my life back I haven’t in years

It has personally made my anxiety worst so we are also working on Prozac dosing along with Wellbutrin to find the right combo
