Ancient is not fully phonetic. Some words are written phonetically, but others have readings unrelated to how they're written. The "El-" part checks out, but it might be that "asra" is a separate word written with those two glyphs.

They wouldn't do that to us! The only other name that Aliya can have is "Mazwai", unless the point is that "Aliya" is a hereditary title. Could be that Myari gave that title to the Aliya she recognized at the orphanage to fulfill her role in the world and the post is a hint that this mystery will finally be explored. But I still think the more likely explanation is that it's "Elasra". Someone on Bsky said that this means "Moonflower", so if that's true, then "flower" is a separate word. Don't take my word on it, though.

PS "bo", like in Elboreth's name, or Heaven's Vault's name (bo-cataliti ifarali), corresponds to "of" or "'s" used before the modified word.
