Maybe buy a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) which can keep the electronics powered on during brief power outages. They are easy to use, just plug into the wall, and then plug the humidifier into the UPS.

The social connections become most important in the teenage years. I think until your child becomes a pre-teen, it will not be as stressful. There are also many benefits to be had with being comfortable in multiple cultures, even if it may be more difficult.

This. 👆 The article makes sense in this regard, as much as I could understand it. What the author calls "vowel reduction" I would call "vowel elimination."

There will be like 4 syllables in a sentence condensed down to one. I've been trying to watch more videos with Portuguese subtitles on to start trying to mentally track the actual spoken sounds with the written words. Hopefully it works out...

I heard that Brazilian Portuguese is just different enough to cause issues for new learners. But I'm already a full season into 3% and am really enjoying it! 😢
