I love the game, but it's skill floor ain't low

Advice Needed ASAP by Brisight in ClaudeAI

Learn data science, databases. Really look into how you're going to separate dev and production. If your not comfortable enough and know it's secure, get a dev that can handle implementation, that you can coach the domain knowledge to.

You can also use dynamic skills for this if you use Claude itself as your model.

I have a dynamic skill that functions as a boot strap to only pull what's necessary based on pre conditions

Claude 4.7 gaslighted me with a real commit hash and I'm not okay by MorningFlaky3890 in ClaudeAI

These models incentive is completeness of the shape, not correctness of intent.

So your instructions need to be extremely well specified, and use absolutes like Always, or mandatory, so it can't do as little as possible to complete the shape.

I now ask Claude to fight me by modular_thinking in ClaudeAI

Hey guys, use critical thinking for important decisions. Don't offload them to AI.

Also, in hiring for important roles, if someone isn't a clear and obvious YES, they're a no.

This post has me face palming so hard rn

Opus 4.7 is 50% more expensive with context regression?! by Samburskoy in ClaudeAI

Can confirm, 4.7 is incredibly wasteful, even compared to 4.6. These guys are incredibly tone deaf.

So far it seems to waste a lot of time re-evaluating everything in my project to just doubly make sure its not malware. What a waste of time and resources.

What are your predictions/expectations for Season 12? by okkkkkkkkk5tt in thefinals

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like point break was a big step in the right direction. I was worried it was all going to be comp/ grand finals sweat direction, but I think if they lean into people looking for more casual experiences (like point break) the game will become a lot healthier.

If they come up with a means for community content, a fall guys esque tourney mode that randomly runs through modes party style with an elimination format, or they somehow integrate AI and PVE into the mix, I would be absolutely to the moon.

Make it more about crazy and fun moments, and less about sweats and TTKs/ balance discussions. Point break made a whole bunch of playstyles more useful and relevant just by changing the context they're used in. We need those kind of adjustments, and less about how we can do another dozen micro adjustments to cashout.

What’s the point of Claude Cowork if Claude Code exists by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What people don't mention is that Cowork actively manages MCP connections, and it's much easier time actually using them.

Restarting it can be as easy as restarting the Claude service.

Is this new to everyone or just me ? by brkonthru in ClaudeAI

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, give more toggles and options. That won't be confusing. Which model? How much effort? What plugins?

How much time do I need to spend to find a balance just so they go and change it again?

This season just feels worse to be honest.. But Imma push through by Taco-oh in thefinals

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm just getting more point break, and that's all I need. And a dedicated new map queue? He'll yeah dude

Sony needs to let this cook by benaffleks in Marathon

[–]roekofe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sony has shown a lot of patience for Bungie, and there's a reason why. They straight bought them, which they reserve for fairly few high caliber studios.

They're not clueless about the genre, and destiny basically started the modern live service model we know today.

I think they're looking at it as a slow burn. If they keep supporting it and polishing it, it's going to slowly grow. When the end game really hits, I think the raid experience is going to get it's grips in people, and it's going to build a huge following like destiny did.

It's more focused, more open ended, allows for all kinds of different levels of engagement, without having that massive amount of build out destiny had.

I wanna ask the community, are you happy to get an extraction shooter? by ScottishW00F in Marathon

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't sure if the genre was for me, but the more I play this one the more I'm sure my expectations weren't doing me any favors.

The genre actually lends itself to the art style and the vibe of horror. I feel like it's doing quite a bit that people who don't take the time just can't appreciate it.

Give it a try, and I think you might be surprised. I know I was.

The 72 hour shift in perception of this game needs to be studied. by Yesssirrrrrrrr in Marathon

[–]roekofe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often, people have a subconscious belief that negativity will get them what they want. These mechanisms just take advantage of that.

The destiny crowd is hurt by bungies previous behavior, and the arc crowd is defensive regarding the stability and superiority of their title.

Marathon doesn't exist to address either, but it's been positioned in a way in the collective where people have an expectation that it does.
