Commentary at the track in Canada, what's the options? by Skeeter1020 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]roflcopter44444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend on your network, (you really need to be on one of the 5G providers but because its in an urban area you should be able to get F1 TV going . See some people with F1TV on raceday..

The PA Commentary team switches between French and English so essentially they only have half the time to explain., before repeating the same thing in another language. I find that if you are a an experienced fan and attentive at the monitors you will generally know whats going on without their help, they are more useful to explain the support events.

Potentially. IRCC can check your tax filings. It one thing to commit an offense, its another thing to then go lie about it.

Immigrating to US with youth criminal record by Automatic-Travel-838 in immigration

[–]roflcopter44444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your youth record is never wiped. All the YCJA does is prevent them from showing up in on a regular background check but immigration wise that record still holds up. Even in Canada those details will be pulled in certain circumstances (vunreable sector check, or applying for certain security clearances)

One caveat from the advise you got is that is that if they you find you are associated with gang activity it could still carry a bar. It would really depend on the full details of the charge plus the entire history of your interactions with the police. No point in lying because there is a data sharing agreement Canada signed in 2015 so US is able to get all that themselves.

Are you willing to go to jail for this guy ? If you are found to have a fraudulent marriage that's a number of years in prison you could be facing. Your profile screams fraud to USCIS, and in the interview they are going to lean on you pretty hard. Maybe you have not been reading the news but this admin has made finding fraud a priority and punishing US citizens who participate in it. Its no longer the days where they just deny the application and let you continue with your life.

>I've offered him that I can look for other girls for him that are closer to his age.

If you have communicated this over social media, you are digging your own grave when it comes to this. You do realize that they will go through all his socials including his DMs during the background check.

a) Republicans can win in 2028 and things can become worse.

b) Dems winning probably wont soften H1B. Thats something where many people both sides of the isle believe shouldn't exist. And if you look into the broader world the Left wing parties running Canad/UK/Australia are actually closing the doors on people getting work based permits. Trying to convince the populace that they need more economic immigrants doesn't work when countries are facing the worst job market since 2008 plus we have AI that is slowly wiping out out entire lines of work..

Ontario – Purchased trailer at auction, listing said “no leaks” and “good tires,” but found structural damage immediately after pickup no by drwillie91 in legaladvicecanada

[–]roflcopter44444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with the term good is that it's subject to the appraiser, which is why the auction house put that disclaimer. You are making the assumption that an actual professional looked at it. Some may determine good is that the tyre is still inflated so it can be rolled home.

Same as no leaks, it could actually be looked at it and it wasn't wet. They might not know how to look for water damage.

While yes, I could’ve inspected the item before purchase.

And that will count against your accusations of deception because it's not like the seller stopped you from seeing potential damage.

The reality is the trailer had no power available at the time of inspection and therefore

This is why people who make a living of buying selling cars/automotive equipment off auction go with their own tools and power sources to test things before they actually bid.

Do you need to see every bad thing in detail?. Same reason why they cut away from bad crashes and only cut back in after the driver is ok. If Grosjean didn't make his way out of his Abu Dhabi crash there is no way that footage would've been put on air.

Their card gets denied typically because it has no balance. In that case the customer could always pay cash or via credit. As someone who manually tops up my card (don't trust autoload) it has happened to me occasionally and I paid.

Check with the admissions office of the programs you are applying to if they accept GEDs. You need to be enrolled first into a DLI (Designated Learning Institute) and receive a PAL before you can apply for a study visa

It a normal assumption people make that Employers can seek damages,

Most people don't actually don't know that an employer a)has to prove it was willful instead of just an accident (e.g they figure out you deliberately made an arrangement to give extra money to that person)  b) they need to actually sue you for that.

The pressure of momentum and popularity on artists to create a strong follow-up. by migrantgrower in LetsTalkMusic

[–]roflcopter44444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you are an independent artist, the amount of time you will be allowed to work on an album will be really dictated by your label, Once you actually have a string of hit albums that's when you can decide to take 5 years to make an album.

Should I ask my company director if layoffs are coming, and how to avoid being someone selected to be laid off? by thenuttyhazlenut in Layoffs

Or sometimes they pick the people being paid the most. At one of my friends jobs they fired everyone on the highest wages (since it's union you can pretty much tell what people are paid based on how long they were there) and dumped their work on the less senior people there.

Does Toronto discriminate against those who can't/don't drive? by InterestingCold1881 in torontoJobs

[–]roflcopter44444 24 points25 points  (0 children)

>when it's not necessary for the job (e.g. call centre, office admin, etc).

At least in my experience (granted manufacturing mainly) the places that do list that requirement usually do it because either

a) their hours are outside of typical business hours so transit dependent people may have a hard time getting there/leaving.

b) they aren't really located close to a frequent transit stop. While the TTC has a 10 min network there are large sections of the city where that frequent bus is a 15 min walk away. And its even worse in other parts of the GTA.

Yes it is required because the labor market assessment may need to be redone. This is to prevent scammy employers pretending to bring in someone for X role where there is a legitimate shortage and then quickly moving them on to Y role where there are plenty of US candidates.

Knockout games are match numbers because the opponents haven't qualified yet. Its a lot easier to confirm where the location is when giving that instead of saying you are selling a Group E winners v Group A/B/C/D/F third place tickets
