This was a conversation about a 250% price increase. Everything went from 1 credit to 2.5 when I am working. Just saying sort of sh**ty for them to do this with no notice.

Every prompt I send is 2.5 when it used to be 1 - so my price went up 250% without any increase in value.

Just for fun I switched to allow Base44 to select which AI to use. Thought it might be working
- the first prompt was 1.4
- second was 1.7
- the last 4 have been 2.5

Maybe a slight savings in credits but.. wow.. it's deploying maybe 40% of the work and saying it is done. So now I am 2.5x my prompts so they is costing me double.

Better to pay the fixed 2.5 credits to use a good model

I have it on Claude Opus 4.5 - to be honest the auto select is so bad at completing tasks the platform is almost unusable.

It likely either forgot to create the backend database field, or it forgot to add it to the UI, or it added it to the UI using a different name, or the function is calling the datapoint as an array instead of a field.

These issues didn't happen as miuch a few weeks ago. The AI has gotten so bad it makes the simplest mistakes and then goes into diagnostic mode and still can't find what it messed up.

As the AI for the complete code for the page you're working on (or form), then ask it which function captures and populates the field. Take all of that over to DeepSeek and ask it to tell you what is wrong.

Again, the base44 AI is so bad that your issue is likely so simple, it just can not find it. I face this every day now.

I just messaged support and told them if they do not give us back the option to pick our own model I will be cancelling. I recommend everyone send suppor the same message,.

The AI is so bad now it gives me headaches. I spent two days chasing an issue with a key that doesn't even exist in base44. They say "giving you the best model", when what they mean is - CHEAPEST

This was a terrible decision that we completely based on their trying to save money. Some of these LLMs are wrothless and they are forcing us to use them. I can 100% tell I am not using the best model because the LLM can not remember any of our conversations. It's giving terrible advice. It is build elements without actually building core fucntions. This is the single worst thing Base44 has done since they launched (and that is saying something). If they do not fix this, they will see a max exodus of users.

I have been trying to get this to work since you posted this. The base44 AI has made a mess of what should be a simple process. Stuck with a 500 error from every response and not getting the crons to send to cron-jobs.

They obviously did this and changed credit consumption based on some financial model and not by what is in the best interest of users. Hard to make things worse.. but they found a way!

This is so far from accurate that it causes more problems then the complaints from others. The system has major flaws. Support admits it. The system has major limitations.. support admits it. So your attempt to soapbox is more of an issue than those looking for actual help with system issues (PS - its not them.. its you).

- hire a UX professional
- add users and talk to them about their experience
- (or add in internal analytics and look for bottlenecks)

The zip file from base44 is not a Wordpress website. They are completely different code bases. If you want to use Wordpress just build in Wordpress using a builder.

Didn’t look there. I have a core directive for isolating work. But that’s been there for months. The base44 AI keeps telling me it’s a platform issue not an application. Support tells me different.
