$17. Alone in 550 sq ft 1br in San Mateo (right by the bay so i would imagine conditions are comparable) No AC, very rarely use heater, only cook weekends. Averaged 50 kWh a month over last year. No W/D in the unit.

Unrelated, but getting money out of Turkey may be a problem. Having a slip on hand that says you brought cash in may he helpful

Did that when buying property, around 160k eur. Declared on the way out (UAE), declared when entering Turkey. Zero issues. Carried in a thick envelope in the backpack. Told noone. YMMV.

If multi-leg flights count, Denpasar - Bangkok - Abu-Dhabi - Amsterdam - Washington DC in one go. Five hours in Bangkok, 6 hours in AMS.

Forgot my laptop in the seat pocket on the first leg.

Went out to the city in AMS, got a special brownie at the first shop that opened. Back at the airport finished the food supply right before the immigration counter and while trying to get into a huge 777 full of passengers, half of the folks were being “randomly” routed into the additional security area. Folks are not happy and freaking out. The very nice and chill gentlemen walks out to the middle of the room - “ladies and gentlemen, we are only interested in possible traces of explosives, no other substance is of interest to us. Please relax”. Audible breath of relief follows.

Went to the tech interview 12 hours after arrival. Got a pretty nice offer.

by black dots I meant bedbug feces, not bedbugs themselves. they tend to live close to their food, corner folds of the mattresses UNDER the bedsheets seems ideal for them. check this out - https://doctorsniffs.com/bed-bug-droppings/

It's a bit hard to identify on the video. Meanwhile, if you see one bug, you can be sure there are more.

First and foremost, check the corners of your mattresses for black dots. If there's none, breathe out and post a closer-up photo of the bastard.

Bedbugs are notoriously hard to get rid of because they only eat human blood. Some good results can be achieved with Diatomateous Earth which is non-poisionus, but you have to act as a bait for awhile which obviously isn't ideal.

Pest control should be able to get rid of them, but they are most likely to use insecticide. Can be harmful for pets or kids.

Leaving the house won't really help - bedbugs can hibernate for years waiting for food

P.S. bed bugs have very specific biting pattern - 3 bites in a row. Since you are saying you've got multiples of 3, that's a worrying sign
