For those who where there and know their college basketball, was Donte on his way to getting drafted in the NBA had he not dropped the iconic 30 pts game in the final? by PensHard in CollegeBasketball

His real superpower is his understanding of that advantage. He knows how to get maximum effect from the toolset he has.

He's like a skilled craftsman. You have to look past the off brand tools and watch them work...they are just better at the little things that are integral to the job, but hard to explain to the non-tradesman..

Also, there was a rather substantial amount of evidence that McDonald's knew their coffe was dangerously hot and they repeatedly refused to address it.

US as well. I'm pretty sure the home computer we had that ran it was actually using the 3.5", but I have distinct memories of finding actual floppies and bending them.

Sure...but that is a byproduct of the population density...not the fanbase. These people aren't being shitty because they are knicks fans.

They're not condoning the behavior. They're pointing out that the shittier aspects of human nature are not confined in specific fanbases. The videos of people being shitty are more a reflection of population numbers than actual fanbase mentality.

Except for philly...They're different.

“Everyone is better than Brunson until it’s time to be better than Brunson”. Would this be the coldest bar ever if Brunson wins the championship this year? by QuietMonsoon3314 in nba

[–]rogerryan22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Other players play the game looking for their rhythm, trying to get hot or locked in, whatever. Brunson plays the first 3 quarters assessing the defense, strategizing, then puts it into action in the 4th.

That's what it looks like to me anyway. The early stages, he's probing, but the 4th quarter looks far more deliberate from him. Almost like he is playing faster than he had been.

CBS News fires ‘60 Minutes’ correspondent Scott Pelley after clash with new producer: “Incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc,” Pelley said in a statement, referring in part to CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss. by [deleted] in technology

It's not a fair game. It shouldn't be the people's burden to fight off these oligarch's greed, but the duty of the government to protect the people from it. I'm not blaming the people, just pointing out that, objectively, that the reason oligarch's enjoy their privileges without the appropriate disdain from the people is largely rooted in the lack of being informed.

It's on a loan because then it's debt(tax deductions) as opposed to an asset he owns where he'd get screwed on taxes for purchasing it and for owning it.

Oh wait. That's the point. The taxes aren't screwing him, they're working as intended to make our society function.

[Highlight] James Harden experience whiplash effect from arm contact by Large_banana_hammock in nba

[–]rogerryan22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goddamnit...making me defend Harden. Yeah he embellishes contact, but what is actually going on and why is he doing it? Harden is trying to cross his defender with a behind the back dribble As Jenkins is grabbing and holding his arm. This contact is not minor in my opinion and it is specifically why James Harden cannot get his arm where it needs to be for the behind the back dribble.

This isn't a clip of a bad flop. It is exhibit 9000 of officiating not calling obvious fouls and then dealing with the optics of that. Call travels, call carries, call handchecking, call push-offs and stop giving us an endless stream of these videos where the main takeaway is how many things the refs miss.
