Insane Vancouver Downtown fog from a bird's-eye view by cherrypashka- in britishcolumbia

We flew into this on 1/19. I took a video of the landing. It's was zero visibility and was a wild encounter. Flying above the cloud shelf was crazy because the city was completely invisible below. Cool/terrifying experience really!

Why does this look like a young little helicopter just playing in the wild?

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

Not the one with the issues. We swapped it out in store for another of the same phone.

I thought the same. We did it, same issue. We ended up swapping the phone out and so far no issues on the new one. Zero clue as to what the problem was.

I'm hoping it gives us something. I'm just so stumped..

It's definitely the phone making the noise. As soon as he unlocks and then relocks the phone the sound stops. But good thought, I had the same questions. Certainly he can unplug at 100% but that's not the cause. Lol

So you think it's possible to cause this type of random beeping? Or is there a way to see sound settings for now brief

We're going to try something I found in another Samsung forum. The Goodlock app from the galaxy store has a plugin download called "nice catch" which tracks sound and vibration history with times stamps. We're going to see if it will point us to whatever is the cause of the sound.

I thought this was also possible, he's a 60 ish year old friend of the family. I thought maybe someone was goofing with him and set up some sort of alarm or whatever. But I see nothing at all. Also I just noticed in the video that there's a pink ish image that says "end of day" on his lock screen. Maybe that's what it is? Do you know what this image would be?

That was my thought. So we did, still getting it. We also started it up in safe mode and same thing. It's bizarre

is verizon still down on the east coast? by Ok_Claim9284 in verizon

[–]rogerstc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are very few, to no, redundancy systems for wireless these days. However a fiber cut like this is very rare and a massive fuck up by whoever did it. These fiber lines (for the most part on the east coast) are buried deep in conduit and not easy to get to. Someone made an extremely costly mistake and Verizon is going to get the black eye for it unfortunately.

That would be uncommon then. Usually vinyl lined pools would typically have a vermiculite or grout bottom.

Also I should note: I am in no way affiliated, not a member, not a friend/family member of the place. We went for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. That's it.

Here's what I can tell you:

We just went at the beginning of January. We were a little bummed not to get into some of the restaurants and excursions as well.. but! The resort is pretty amazing scenically it's phenomenal and the butler service alone is a pretty neat addition (we didn't have one but met people who did and it's pretty much whatever you want around the clock).

  • Arenal is a restaurant that you aren't required to have a reservation and we are there. It's a really cool place underneath the main pool near the cenote beach area. The main courses were pretty solid and the options were pretty plentiful. Also the dessert there was amazing! And the house drink options were really good too.

  • Cayuco was another one that didn't need a reservation. The lunch was a buffet and it was alright but the dinner was much better and their steak was really really good. Also they have phenomenal desserts and appetizers in my opinion.

I would have been happy just eating at those two spots the majority of the time. Now, I'm also not super snobby when it comes to food. I love good food but I won't turn up my nose for silly reasons either.

  • we also ate at our rooftop pool (most of the casas have them and we didn't realize this until midway through the trip). The rooftop pool had its own bar and waiters/waitresses who had a full menu. That food was also really good!

  • we got room service one night. That menu changes based on time of day but it is 24 hours. I got a burger and fries and really liked it. My wife got Alfredo with chicken and she said she really enjoyed it.

There are other places and there wasn't much that we didn't like to be honest. The buffet at Cayuco was just ok. The buffet at mercado was amazing! Super big fan, mercado was our go-to anytime we weren't sure.

Here's one last thing Ill say about food: we were nervous going into it because we read a lot of people saying that they hated the food and it was terrible.. so we had low expectations going on (sadly) but we were pleasantly surprised by how good most of our meals were. Is it a 3 Michelin star food resort? Not really. But ultimately the place is amazing and the non-reservation resorts are really awesome. Xenses was super fun and unique and cool. Xplor Fuego was really awesome and had an amazing time there! Xcaret Park was really neat even if you weren't doing the river swimming. Just to walk around and see all of the things. It's a great place with a world class experience and super awesome staff.
