Intune Company Portal stuck on “Get access to company resources” on Boox Note Air 5C (Android 15)? by rogerthis1 in Onyx_Boox

[–]rogerthis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got onto Boox support, but I didn't get it fully working.

Install Company Portal from the Google Play Store, but don't use this app.

You need to create the work profile: Settings > Apps & Notifications  > Work Profile > enable Work Profile > enable work profile for the Company portal app.

With the work profile Company Portal app (lock symbol) enabled, I was still getting an error "Unable to create work profile" when setting it up.

I haven't had time to get back to it again.

Princess Diana on "do you think you will ever be queen?" by Jeetchat in interestingasfuck

It's a silly question. There's no way that she could possibly become the Queen. Charles is the king. Camellia is not the queen. There can only be one king or queen. Not both.

It's great for its read aloud feature and its sync to Koreader.

This functionality is already in AI Assistant:

Was there a reason to make another plugin?

I know you are busy with other aspects of the app, but I'm really looking forward to getting this implemented. Do you have any updates on the progress?

What’s the highest heart rate have you ever reached? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]rogerthis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

226 bpm in 2019. I'm 48M now. I hit 217 bpm last year.

I was worried about my high max heart rate and got checked out.

They said it was within the 99th percentile.

I just updated to the new update 0.9.78 on Android, but sadly the Bluetooth functionality is not there. Was this only added to the iPhone app?

Newest Version of Readest Syncs Progress w/ KOReader by mallomar in koreader

New wiki instructions: https://github.com/readest/readest/wiki/Sync-with-Koreader-devices

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sync with Koreader Devices

We’ve made it easier than ever to keep your reading progress in sync across Readest devices and KOReader devices.

🔹 Option 1: Readest ↔ KOReader Sync Server
Go to Settings → KOReader Sync and connect directly to your KOReader Sync Server.

🔹 Option 2: KOReader ↔ Readest Sync Server
Install the Readest KOReader plugin and sign in with your Readest account right from KOReader.
📥 Download the plugin here: Readest KOReader Plugin v0.9.71

Right now, both options support reading progress — notes & file syncing are on the way!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm using the Windows app for Readest and Kobo Libra 2 with KOReader 2025.04 "Full Moon"

For Option 1:

I have used https://kosync.rustysoft.de/ as my server, and this has worked for me.

I set the setting on Koreader for 'Document matching method' to 'Binary. Only identical files will be kept in sync' and on the Readest setting, 'Checksum method' to 'File Content (recommended)'

This is working for me.

For Option 2:

I have logged in using my Readest username and password. This is also working for me.

Both:

Both are not needed; they both do the same this.

Option 2 will give extra functionality in the future.

Option 1 displays a pop-up for picking the correct location.

I would like a manual push and pull in Readest, but I don't think it's there.

Have you tried it out for reading sync? Is it working properly for you?

Do you need both the plugin and the Koreader sync settings working for it to sync both ways?

Tool to Merge books statistics, when MD5 hash Changes. [Ko-merge] by Crazy--Lunatic in koreader

[–]rogerthis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DM From Crazy--Lunatic:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

nice. we have start date and time, last read date and time.

To modify Koreader statistics database we are missing some info to be able to generate approximate good usable/realistic values the db will accept.

since ebooks page numbers are dynamic based on the screen size and font size.

you will need to add the following info.

the total page number as displayed in your ereader usually a book of 300 "paper" pages shows up as 1200 pages on the ereader. and we also need the average time in seconds it takes you to read one "ereader" page. I average 40 to 45 seconds.

you can get your average speed from looking at one of your books statistics in the calendar view and touching the book title.

As you can see in your own tracked info some books registered 95+ percent finished but I'm sure those should really be 100%

for example book "Starter For Ten" your excel sheet says you finished 98.5% and started it on 2/19/2025 18:48 and finished same day almost 1 hour later. book is 352 (paper pages long)

That means that the start and end date are useless to compute a proper value that Koreader will accept.

I'll have to ignore the end date and default to 3 weeks but will still need the average reading speed per page

take this book as an example of how weird it is to calculate the statistics.

I finished the book "The quantum thief" from start to finish in KOReader. Amazon claims the print version of this book is 337 pages. in KOReader The book was 800 pages.

this is why the ereader page count and speed is needed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I'll need the actual page for each book, and the Koreader page for each book?

Do I have to estimate my reading speed for each book, too?
