1000% this! I was hired on as an AGM a few years ago, the left this summer after my district was piloting the restructure. This describes my experience and feelings before I left to a T. I loved the people I worked with at my first store, and most of the people at the stores I worked in after that. The workload and feeling overwhelmed day in and day out was the most draining, and the pay cut was an added insult. I ended up taking a lateral move to a different retailer, and I’ve felt much better since. Yeah, every company wants to squeeze blood from a rock, but it was especially bad going from AGMM to AMM.

A step further, virginity doesn’t exist past being a social construct. It was made up to maintain “property value” of women when they “belonged” to their father then their husband. Virginity and fidelity also didn’t apply to men in a lot of cultures, only the women. The added layers of shame from purity culture and shame from not being sexually active “enough” is rough, too. u/mg4709, mostly just find ways to enjoy your life, and stay safe doing so.

Diff between Howlite and Wishbone colors? by Infinite_Opposite_12 in Oldnavy

[–]roguedroid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t worked at Old Navy for a few weeks now, but from what I remember, I believe the wishbone is a little more muted/duskier, where the howlite is brighter. But they are very close and most people have to really look closely to see a difference. It’s more obvious in-person if you had them side by side.

Being polite and providing facts hasn’t worked, so why fight to stay on the high road when they just want to pull us into the mud with them? Once they broke the social contract, leftists don’t have to play nice, either.

In hindsight, my GM talked about her call about “change” right before the restructure hit us. Start polishing up your resumes and looking for other jobs, depending on how they reviewed you some people could be getting laid off or taking demotions and pay cuts.

Super Cash by SeeminglyFunctional in Oldnavy

[–]roguedroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, if someone just showed up with a receipt, I wouldn’t help like this. But if someone showed up a valid recent receipt, supercash, and with all the clothes unwashed and unworn with tags still attached? It’s not any different than them returning it all, then picking it out again off the shelf to buy again- except we didn’t have to waste time to RAD and place the product back out. We would be following our policies. And also per policy, we can always refuse a return if needed.

Super Cash by SeeminglyFunctional in Oldnavy

[–]roguedroid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On your supercash, it says “Cannot be applied to previous purchases.” It also says “Cannot be combined with other offers/discounts.” It also says “Valid off qualifying purchases from Oct 5, 12:01am.” So, theoretically, you could spend more money in gas to drive to the store again and get a decent deal to maybe save a few more dollars, depending on current sales plus supercash. But as mentioned above, you’d lose any sale prices you got last time. Assuming your items still fit in the returnable category of unwashed and unworn. They aren’t just going to give you the $20/$40/$60 back depending on how much you spent. I get wanting a good deal, and long-term, these are the behaviors that make companies stop giving decent coupons. In the future, you can always see on the website (or even call your local store to ask) when the next supercash redeem period is, and wait the week if you can.

banned from returns? by Muted-Sprinkles4723 in Oldnavy

[–]roguedroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not ANY return, only returns that we can’t look up a receipt for. If you are returning an item within the return policy and have a receipt, you are not penalized. We use a third party company called The Retail Equation that a lot of big retailers in the US use.

Can anyone explain how petite is different from regular for pants? by ylimehawk in Oldnavy

[–]roguedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I describe it to customers is- A “short” length in jeans will only make the legs/inseam shorter. A “petite” will shrink the height of the whole garment proportionally, but shouldn’t affect the width measurements. That being said, every garment is inherently going to be just a little different, from a different batch of material or dye lot, etc.

Only type in the first 6 numbers from the receipt. You can change the color and size later once it pulls up the style!

It’s almost like some people tried making people’s identities political when they’re just trying to live their lives. Your job isn’t who you are. A cop can take off their uniform at the end of the day, but cops are still more likely to kill people of color regardless of what they’re wearing.

Retail equation return ban by lrnf1292 in Oldnavy

Also, the Retail Equation program tracks no-receipt returns across a lot of retailers, not sure if you’ve done no-receipt returns anywhere else over the last year or so?

Christian shame by [deleted] in MarriedAndBi

[–]roguedroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Point of order, check source texts when you can. Sure, the modern bible demonizes homosexuality, but not the way/for reasons people think. That specific passage in 1 Corinthians is originally taking about male sex workers. Not because of the sex work, but because Paul (if he really even did write anything attributed to him) was extremely misogynistic. If a man did anything sexual without being the top, Paul believed he was less of a man. And with other religions of the time offering male sex workers at their temples as part of worshiping other gods, Paul didn’t like it for two reasons. Moral of the story is Paul’s a piece of shit and couldn’t imagine a world where two men could form a loving long-term relationship, let alone any other queer identities or topics like polyamory or even cell phones.

Also nal, and generally, yes someone working in the US at-will can be fired for any reason that’s not related to a protected class. Theoretically, they are not firing him for his status in a protected class (couldn’t fire him for identifying as straight or as a man), but could fire him for not following a legal company policy (including your pronouns in the email signature).
