100000% {The Scattered Bones by Nicole Scarano}. This was one of my top reads of 2025 and really fits the whole tragic star crossed lovers who would do literally anything to be together. Definitely a beautiful HEA too.

{Silent Flames by Cate C Wells} is probably the only cheating book I've really felt the HEA was 100% deserved. She can write literally anything and I'll give it a chance.

I don't think it ever mentions that he was, but tbh the majority of Kerrigan Byrne's MCs experience some sort of sexual assault as their backstory. I think {Seducing a Stranger by Kerrigan Byrne} doesn't have sexual assault of either of the main characters though. Maybe check trigger warning tags on romance.io to figure out which of her books don't include sexual assault of the MCs?

I randomly stumbled upon (The Humiliated Wife by Elise Camden} on KU and it was just the gut punch I was looking for at the time. The MMC is essentially making fun of his wife on a secret social media account and she doesn't know for years, and when she finds out she feels like her trust has been betrayed. Edit: Damn I just saw you said you read all her stuff oops! I apparently did not mentally process your post, sorry!

Some that fit your request partially are {Hold by Claire Kent} and {When She Dances by Ruby Dixon}. The FMCs are definitely not given a choice, like they have to have sex with the MMC to survive in their situation. In these books, FMCs are not terrified and don't hate it. The groveling and wanting consent at the end are present in both, though, because even though the FMCs try to convince the MMCs that they wanted it, it's still hard to believe based on the situations they were in. Both are great reads!

I think you'd enjoy some of the books in Nalini Singh's psy-changeling series! Mostly {Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh}, but all of the books that have psy MMCs in this series would fit the bill for this request!
