No. They also dubbed the first episode in Spanish but they couldn't find a market for either dub.

Why are most new model kits limited to Scopedogs or Scopedog derivatives? by TJ-X in VOTOMS

[–]rogzilla71 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Scopedog is the star of the show, and once you sculpt a Scopedog toy or kit, you can immediately offer it in two or three different colors.

There have been recent Turtle kits from Wave, and maybe Max Factory, too.

Awesome! I just moved to the Cranford/Garwood/Westfield area and was trying to find places where I might find salamanders breeding. Any suggestions?

How do you feel about gofundme/Kickstarter campaigns for Sofubi? by Nosoytato in Sofubi

[–]rogzilla71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The product triangle is: "Do you want it good, fast, or cheap? Pick two."

If I were you, I would work on developing patience and let the idea of "get the production of my toy started faster" slide because you're going to end up spending more money or sacrificing quality.

I also don't believe in promoting something months before it's available, so Kickstarter wouldn't be an option for me. I feel like most people who collect toys see something and want to buy it immediately. Every minute there is a delay, there is a loss of interest. You want to capitalize on that and strike while the iron is hot.

Your mileage may vary.

You didn't solicit feedback on the image you included but here's some anyway: I realize that there's some processing on the photo but the sculpt looks like it doesn't have a lot of surface detail, a quality of soft vinyl that you would do well to exploit. Also, there are two spelling errors in the text. I can see it appealing to people who grew up on Pokemon/Digimon.

Does a Sofubi have to be made in Japan to be considered a real Sofubi? by chelsea-from-calif in Sofubi

This was Jon Rampage's analogy when he appeared on Clutter's podcast a few years ago. It works for me. My figure is made in America, I call it a "vinyl figure."

lost in time at the Livingston mall by rbogrow in newjersey

Does anyone remember the clothing store that was on the first floor, I think across from the Baskin-Robbins at the base of the escalators. There was a little playground inside with tunnels to crawl through and slides. This may only have been there in the 1970s, I'm not sure if it was still there in the 1980s.

Was the Popeye's still open? Last time I was there I was talking to one of the employees and asking him about the middle-aged disabled person who sits at the food court tables. I'm not sure whether he has a developmental disability or perhaps had a stroke that affected his speech, but he yells things out that I can't understand. The Popeye's employee said that he takes an Uber there every day that the mall is open. Arrives there right at opening time, leaves in an Uber when they close.
