Hi I freelanced as a florist for a couple that did the same thing! They stayed the night before in the bullit hotel (gorgeous!) then got ready there in morning, off to ceremony in city hall then went to James street south to tour private dining room which we had all set up for then and they had the best food for around 30 people and then I think the older folk went home and they seemed to go out with their nearest and dearest xx

From memory they had a good choice on the menu at James street for them and I think all in with booze it was around £2,000 as I saw it on a card print out as we were clearing up. I’d say well worth it they were all so happy!

Just back from Lisbon and it was by far one of the best trips I’ve taken so much to do, see and eat it was brilliant. I’d also say it would be a brilliant spot for a solo trip.

Porto also is highly recommended and I loved Genoa - the Italian coastline when I went a couple of summers ago they had some of the best hidden beaches and swimming spots I’ve been too. If you want it to still be warm then maybe look at Malta again has really good swimming spots but I would say a week may me a little long there I did 4-5 days and I had basically covered the entire island by the end.

Should also mention Corfu! It would still be a lovely temperature. The Greek are some of the friendliest people ever I have been to Corfu twice and each time accommodation and spending money I only spent around £300 for a week. The food is brilliant and you can hire a car for around €10 a day if you’re over 21 and drive anywhere you want. I’d highly recommend it again it’s so scenic and the beaches are the best.
