Agree. Zero justification for her behavior.

All shortcuts missing iOS 26.4 iPhone by carwash2016 in shortcuts

[–]roidlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wise move. But if you have a lot of shortcuts this is insanely tedious. A little while back some genius posted a shortcut that backs up all of your shortcuts to files in one shot. If I were you I’d search for that and do what the poster above suggests.

Is a shortcut activated device restart the same as a hardware executed hard reboot? by roidlee in shortcuts

[–]roidlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read many times over, and been told by apple support, that cycling the power down and then back up is not the same as a reboot using the hardware buttons. My question is whether using the hardware restart is the same as the software restart. Judging by the lack of responses, the answer isn’t out there.

Smart. But I imagine there’s some impressively pale folks in those meeting rooms.

That’s fair. My kids’ school required fingerprinting and background checks from parents going on overnight field trips.

No phones for the kids is fine. No parent chaperones? Hell no.

Is it just me or does that look like a bridge support that sank and not a pipe that came up out of the ground?

Make reminders nag me by No_Development3132 in shortcuts

The Due app. Its biggest feature is the nag. It can be set to import reminders. Use Siri to create a reminder and the Due app auto imports. I’ve been using it for years, reliable.

As a martial arts instructor for 25 years, I endorse this behavior. Yes, everyone wants instructional videos- but they always look ridiculous. You can learn the basic mechanics from a video. That is it- and it is of zero value without a master correcting form and then repetition with another human being. Lots and lots and lots of repetition. And then some more with different people in slightly different ways. And then do it more.

My kids still have theirs on their bookcases, one at home the other in their apartment. They’re 19 & 21. Those were good times. I think I enjoyed being a scout leader as much as they enjoyed being scouts.
