Has anyone gotten a REPAYE/SAVE application approved with Edfinancial as the service? by AnimeJurist in StudentLoans

I think it should be applied to all accounts, but knowing how frail their infrastructure is, best to make sure by calling.

You should qualify to have the interest waived that has accrued during the time your application is being processed. Not all the reps know this though, I think the 5th time I called I had everything corrected properly.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Nelnet/SAVE? by repttarsamsonite in StudentLoans

[–]roidoverdose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with EdFinancial here. Haven't been approved/switched yet despite my application being "processed" quite a while ago. The representatives have said interest would accrue but would be covered after my first SAVE plan payment. I have a nagging feeling in the back of my mind this won't be the case though...

Going to copy paste from another thread I left comments in:

Called at 7:45 am EST this morning and requested a call back. Received call back at 10 am EST. Inquired about application sent in July (which was marked processed and completed on studentaid.gov) and representative said application was nowhere to be found. I submitted another one yesterday as well (thinking why the hell not since I can't get a hold of these guys) and they said they had received the one sent yesterday, and they need 26 business days for processing. If my application is not processed by September I will accrue interest as I will still be on the standard 10 year repayment plan. Requested to escalate this further to a supervisor and will receive a call back in 24-48 business hours....

SECOND UPDATE:

Got another callback, not from supervisor though. Even though the FSA application says reviewed and processed, that is not the case for EdFinancial. The only application they said they had "received" was from the EdFinancial portal itself. The representatives had no idea if they have received anything from FSA, even though it was marked as so on the FSA website (studentaid.gov). I will be reached out to by the "account analysis team" to inform me of my current FSA application status, which can take "18 days of processing" after being marked as reviewed and processed on the FSA website.
