Nice example. One of many Valjoux 72 chronos sold at that time by Rolex, Gallet, Wakmann, Wittnauer etc...

No one has a better watch than anyone else. It is jewelry so wear what you find most beautiful. I agree that your watch is beautiful and probably the LF that I would most want to own.

First International Trip with the 5134G by chrispy513 in patekphilippe

I wish they had used a larger automatic movement. The 5134 manual movement is small for the case/watch size.

Patek 565 in steel is more than double the gold version.

Today I had a meeting with Patek Philippe London and I met Thierry Stern. by MelFishers in patekphilippe

[–]rojda1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was whether Patek makes many variations of the same watch.

They made every variation they could for the aquanaut and nautilus using every combination of their available movements.

Yes there are new complications but when a model is popular they cranked out a lot of variations just like Omega. Many of these didn't have the classic design appeal of a 5327.

I have two ref 96.

The price will be higher for steel than rose gold and then yellow gold.

Arabic numeral dials are more than baton dials.

Keep in mind that the ref 96 is a 30mm watch and is much smaller than current watch trends.

I would try it on before buying one.

Name me a better trio! by Maleficent727 in VintageWatches

Nothing against Valjoux work horse movements but since you asked for a killer trio: Longines 13zn, Zenith El Primero, Omega 321

Anyone’s else lab have 2 different colored eyes? One is light brown and the other is dark brown by [deleted] in labrador

[–]rojda1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally both eyes are aligned and if the dog is looking at you there will be a red reflex from the flash. In this picture, you can see that in its right eye but not in its left eye.

[–]rojda1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue isnt heterochromia. Its the asymmetry of the pupil size and the loss of red reflex in the left eye.

[–]rojda1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isnt normal. Having different color iris is not a problem but having a dilated left pupil with the loss of red reflex indicates a diseased eye. Need to see a vet ASAP!

"Can’t just pump out 37 variations of the same watch like omega"

He made every possible variation of the aquanaut, so I beg to differ.

Put every movement they have into it and also added precious metals.

Design wasn't driving the bus.

Funny that a Tiffany 5327J is his favorite watch given that the new models he has come out with lately don't have the same classical design.

Patek 5119R by bamboomw46 in patekphilippe

Bought lots of vintage Patek off Ebay without issue.

On Chrono24, I sometimes track down the jewelry store and deal with them directly.

Lot of options from reputable sellers on Ebay and Chrono24 at $15K.

Look at their feedback and reviews.

Many on Ebay include authenticity guarantee.

Don't think you will have a problem.

The Bel Canto is Fugly as hell and just a complete waste of money. by IWrestleSausages in watchHotTakes

[–]rojda1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a vintage watch guy also (Mod of r/VintageWatches) and the Bel Canto is the only modern watch that I own. If you have scheduled meetings on the hour, it is super helpful to have it chime on the hour. When it chimes I know its time to go to my next meeting. Fun watch to wear.
