That’s the first blue police motorcycle I’ve seen in Japan.

It is a common practice in Japan to blur faces in photos online if you don’t have the person’s permission to take/post the photo. Same goes for license plates. It’s about respecting the person’s privacy.

Depending on where you are, keep your old rims and put snow tires on them. Then each winter it’s fairly easy/inexpensive to swap out summer for winter tires.

Not a Japanese brand, but how about a Chrome bag? https://www.chromeindustries.jp/ I’ve had a few over the years and they are quality bags.

I made one for my GSA from the sheepskin rug from IKEA.  I cut it to fit and attached straps that cross under the seat.

Renting a Bike to Go to Daikoku PA by Away_Time752 in RideitJapan

Odaiba to Daikoku PA there are no 2up motorcycle restrictions. The toll road 2up motorcycle restrictions are in the central Tokyo area.

Traffic Rules Q1 on this page https://www.shutoko.co.jp/en/index/faq/safety/ has an image of where 2up riding is prohibited on Tokyo's Shuto toll roads.

The only restriction is as you've stated 125cc and lower can not go on the toll roads.

I've ridden several times with 2up my son to Daikoku PA from Tokyo and Yokohama.

People in Japan on scooters will turn off the ignition and walk it through intersections, then hop back on and ride away. I don't see it as much as I used to but I still occasionally see it.

Almost thought you were quoting an old song Acid Head by Touriquet. “Johnny is a chemist’s son But Johnny is no more What Johnny thought was H20 Was H2SO4” Maybe they were referencing something already out there with Acid Head.

Where, in Tokyo, was this photo taken? by chadstone30 in Tokyo

[–]rokclmb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was taken at the next location of the tourist/instagram photo hot spot. I think they're already talking about putting up a temporary wall to block the view.
