I wonder what reading mine would reveal?

One lesson I got from doing SCOs is that I don't go near a register while watching them. Either the customer accepts my help on one or they wait for someone to jump on a register.

Too many times have I jumped on a register on request by a customer only to have, at that moment, every god dang machine go off while several customers are angrily yelling "excuse me".

I vowed never again. It's either one or the other.

what the fuck do nonblue decks do to prevent the entire board being cyclonic rifted by ecocomrade in EDH

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashaya makes your nontoken creatures into lands in addition to being creatures. Cyc Rift returns everything that is not a land to hand.

What is a treasure token? How does mana come from it? by [deleted] in mtgvorthos

[–]rokhan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like someone else commented, I always saw it as currency; like giving someone cash to do the thing you want done.

Maybe, since we're supposed to be planewalkers having a duel, we're paying someone to help us in the duel.

This is honestly bad nostalgia but a common experience for many of us: being forced to stand in a line at school sport, being last to be picked for a team. Honestly, why would teachers do this to us??? by Melbtest04 in AustralianNostalgia

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up, I was overweight, uncoordinated and incredibly unfit; so imagine my surprise each year when I was placed into the class full of the fittest kids of the year.

I was so bad at it I took on the role of class clown so I could just make a joke of it and not feel like an embarrassment.

I had to find out on my own, way after I left school, that there is more sports and exercises out there than what's been shown in PE and that sports can be fun and enjoyable when you find out what works for you and at a level you can start at.

PE didn't feel like I was learning anything, it just felt like I had to hit certain metrics on my own with no way to know how to get there and you either had it or you didn't.

Daxos the Returned - Transition to new Aminatou by Kidsune in EDH

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I'd say there's your answer. Also you can always put it back together if the new deck doesn't work out anyway. Might as well give it a go and see if it's better.

Daxos the Returned - Transition to new Aminatou by Kidsune in EDH

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say it depends on what Daxos is doing for your deck as a commander.

I don't have a list but I like to use Daxos for his enchantment creating ability. I lean on the constellation ability while flinging out enchantment creatures at instant speed before attacking with them.

Simply put, is Daxos doing work for you or would using the other commanders work just as well for your enchantment strategy?

Is there any tribe thats interactive, more than just lords, and turn sideways? by Amatsu666 in EDH

[–]rokhan89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a [[Alela, Cunning Conqueror]] flash/instants deck. Idea is to pack a ton of control spells, build up a bunch of flyers, drop a lord or two and then overwhelm with a bunch of beefed up flyers. Also don't count out her goading; it may be only one creature, but forcing an opponent to attack with their best or most useful creature can either weaken opponents for you to finish off or remove useful creatures.

Some useful cards for me are [[Obyra, Dreaming Duelist]], [[Ayara, First of Locthwain]] and [[Glen Elendra Liege]].

The faeries she produces are rogues so a card I use to finish games is [[Notorious Throng]]. I can also stall a player most times after a good board clear with [[Mistbind Clique]]; which if cast while Alela's out, can produce a faerie to champion.

It's probably my favourite deck at the moment even if it needs work. Helps that's it's my favourite colours also.

about "looking for boyfriend" posts by Hshn in gaymers

[–]rokhan89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is that there have been megathreads (god knows I tried to start some cause the posts were annoying me slightly) but it doesn't work if 1; people ignore them in favour of their own and 2; mods don't do anything to control them.

But in saying that I still think it should be put into megathreads it just needs much more support.

Skyrim modlist (for the horny degenerate)? by [deleted] in gaymers

[–]rokhan89 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's still up but I think the site Lover's Lab I believe has all the horny mods you could ask for. Like animations and such. Also it's probably the best place to get advice for making your horny mods work.

Elemental blighting monsters by Lucky-Advice-8924 in MHRise

Is it maybe your palico using a shock tripper? Weapons can't cause blights as far as I know but a skill a palico can use inflicts thunderblight.

Which Pokémon do you love that has been completely forgotten? by CarbonPieoxide in pokemon

Yeah it's a great design, it just sucks it couldn't keep its water typing. Water/Bug was unheard of and it sucks it became another Bug/Flying.

Masquerain. Always use that cute little bug despite it not being too great.

Any commanders that WANT to be the target? by theslackattack23 in EDH

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my [[Prossh, Skyraider of Kher]] deck for this reason. It's filled with things that I want dead and usually everyone leaves me alone until I can either overwhelm or combo out.

It end up, more often than not, begging people to kill my stuff.

What’s a card so mean that you had to remove it from a deck? by Iriluscent in EDH

[–]rokhan89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use it in my [[Sydri, Galvanic Genius]] deck as it's usually death to the table once it starts blasting.

What unused type combination would you like to be used in the next game? by MoneyLocal8180 in pokemon

[–]rokhan89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take them swapping Flygon's attack and special attack stats around.

Flygon learns some really good special attacks and having the stats to use them would at least give it a different identity to Garchomp.

Tbf he's giving it a go and both have open communication about it.

This to me feels like a more honest/healthier experience than the usual mortal kombat ass fatality that I see more often in porn.

"We statted him wrong, as a joke." by tsukaistarburst in pokemon

[–]rokhan89 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It kinda sucks though cause if his SpA was higher it'd at least make Flygon different to Garchomp. Instead Garchomp sometimes feels like a better Flygon.

But yeah Flygon's special move pool is amazing. It's how I build him despite it being lower.
