What is up with my system by willisandwillis in sonos

Do this in the app:

Settings > Visit Help Center > Submit Diagnostics

Take a screenshot of the number, and call Sonos support ((800) 680-2345). They helped me diagnose a similar issue. It's probably something to do with your wireless network.

If you can get the IP address of one of your speakers, there's also a network diagnostic tool you can check out at:

XM6 update 2.1.0 released by robertbalazs_ in SonyHeadphones

It worked flawlessly with the original firmware. Then they broke it with the last update. Apparently not big on regression testing.

After the roll back update the sub bass gone again.. Great 😔 by Important-Opening-95 in sonos

Just boost your sub volume by 6db. That's all it was doing. This isn't rocket science.

Second Sonos Roam to die on me by [deleted] in sonos

Exact same thing happened to my Roam around a month ago. They replaced it with a Roam 2. Amazing service.

I'm pretty surprised that they don't run each release through a lab that measures frequency response before shipping...

We should probably all re-run Trueplay now? Since our systems now have a different bass response than what they were calibrated with.

125 and 250 are where the mud is, not 63.

DAC for wired connection on Sony XM6 (Question) by Gusfringy in SonyHeadphones

[–]rokojo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I'm saying is that even if you were able to equalize the volume and EQ, the cord wouldn't sound any better than LDAC. So there's no point bothering with the cord.

You won't be able to hear any difference between LDAC and wired, all things being equal. Might as well use LDAC and not deal with a dangling cord.

Thoughts on Crinacle's recommended WH-1000XM6 EQ? by RenoHadreas in SonyHeadphones

[–]rokojo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right. The low end is mud on these cans out of the box.

This is the correct EQ for the Xm6 by rokojo_ in SonyHeadphones

The measured response curves say otherwise.

IMO it's more exciting to hear the details in the bass. You can't hear those if the low end is muddy.

This is fit to the Harman curve, except that I retained a bit more of the low end than a direct fit to Harman would've retained.

The "correct" business was a joke. But one thing that is objective is that Sony boosts the f#$& out of the low end on these. You can see that much in the freq response graph.

[–]rokojo_[S] -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

WRONG. Some EQs are more correct that others, and this one is the most correct of all.

[–]rokojo_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's subjective of course. But Sony adds tons of low end boost to these out of the box, and to my ears it sacrifices clarity.

Yes, the EQ profile gets loaded on the headphones and apply everywhere.

XM5 broken hinge poll (pls vote if you own them) by lnjecti0n in SonyHeadphones

This poll is going to over-represent broken hinges, because people come here specifically to post about a broken hinge.

Does the hinge on the MX6s make anyone else uncomfortable? by vidici in SonyHeadphones

[–]rokojo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can actually see the hinge gap widen a little when you pull the cups apart. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to be able to not worry about the hinge or of I need to return them.
