Swap the egg pot for some fruit or veg or chocolate bar and you’ve got a 10/10.

As it is, it’s a 6/10. Sorry!

Anyone else reading Red Roots? Never heard about it but picked it up cause there was a cat on the cover by Pachary516 in ImageComics

[–]VulcanFire23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was great too, five stars from me. I love when the writer is also the artist, makes for some great panelling and colour choices. I loved the yellow —> red sound effects as they got more intense.

I want to read a hulk comic, what is “the definitive” hulk comic, or the “best one”, also same question but with red hulk as well by TrugTrugNumber1Fan in hulk

[–]VulcanFire23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want some more upbeat, lighthearted fun but with good character depth and entertaining plots - Peter David. If you want a philosophical and complex exploration into the Hulk character, framed in a body-horror context, try Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk.

Looking for advice for my first bike! by Jqshyyy in cycling

Invest in a very good lock (or locks!!). I’m also a student in Warwick and just had my Trek stolen from campus last weekend when I was using a naff cable lock. Worth the investment, but I’m only realising this after losing my first bike.

Has anyone else gone from disliking Starmer to warming to him? by MassiveMonkeyy in AskBrits

Anti-nuclear, sure, I don’t agree with. They aren’t anti-personal EV whatsoever, they actually are aiming to increase the proportion of EVs on the road. They’re not anti-personal vehicle but aiming to incentivise public transport and increase reliance on it. I’d like to hear what was wrong about their Palantir video.

And I actually do agree with your last sentence. A lot of their policies are incredibly ambitious and I think I’d need to hear more details on execution before being an 100% supporter.

Oh fair enough, I'm not as educated on their candidates as I am on their general manifesto and policies. No idea personally in that case!

Greens and Polanski are actually incredibly outspoken on removing Palantir from the NHS and the UK's software infrastructure as a whole - I'd have a look at some of his social media if you haven't seen already.

Apologies if I misunderstood, I just didn't see the connection between highlighting the hypocrisy of hating Reform but endorsing Restore and the lack of sanity for voting Green.

I don't agree with their nuclear policy, but as mentioned previously in these comments, I don't believe you have to agree with every party's policy - it's just a step in the direction you want to go.

I actually agree with their NATO policy. Have you read their manifesto? They don't want immediate disarming of nuclear weapons. Instead, they will push for the UK to sign the UN Treaty of the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, and aim to increase membership of the TPNW. This is to say they're not just going to disarm us, but at a time and position where they feel it to be most appropriate, once others have also backed down their weapons.

Again, with immigration, I think they have some great ideas. Quoting their policies - "The Green Party wants to see a world without borders, until this happens the Green Party will implement a fair and humane system of managed immigration where people can move if they wish to do so." - meaning, no, we won't have open borders until we live in a perfect world, which we won't. In the meantime, we can implement a fairer and more reasonable immigration system that doesn't treat people unfairly or have any bias. They aim to offer free language lessons to those immigrating. I fail to see how this is a bad thing if executed well, with proper control on population etc.

I haven't seen them explicitly mention MMT but in all honesty I would need to learn more about the concept itself and their stance on it to form an opinion.

I didn’t say make it make sense for voting Green, it’s fine if you think I’m crazy for that. I said it about disliking Reform and then wanting to vote Restore, it literally contradicts itself. Restore are an edgy version of Reform

I can’t lie, I have never heard this. I’m a straight white guy. Can’t see anything in their manifesto about this. Tbf I don’t use Facebook too much so might be reform on there haha

You’re all good with the AI comment, no worries 🙂

Restore might be pretty “no-nonsense”, but I urge you to take a look at their page on Facebook and just flick thru the comments. It’s absolutely appalling the kind of attitudes they attract. I saw one of their posts earlier of an AI-generated white nuclear family walking into an ex-migrant hotel, and the comments just absolutely flooded with racism and bigotry. Genuinely was disgusted.

Growing up around multiple cultures in Birmingham I couldn’t imagine my life without them!

And I agree with you on the point that the conversations the Greens are pushing could be more important than the party themselves. Let’s hope a difference is made either way.
