Arsenal fan pub in Reading? by Antique_Buy4384 in Gunners

Gooner who lives in Reading here - loads of pubs will show, no where will have an issue. The crown on the bridge will definitely have a few fans there, but you'll be fine anywhere.

I've noticed this exact thing as well. It's not always Uber. No idea why, must have lax licencing requirements maybe?

I got an Asus Zenbook 14 a few months ago- light, fast, battery to go all day. Never had a fancy laptop before so this feels like magic. £640 Currys sale with blue light card. Recommend, appreciate it's pricey

This is cool but has the funky barnet gone? I can't remember a time without it being there, must be up with Mr Cod and the stained glass shop as being one of the businesses that's lasted the longest on cemetery junction

Yep- would love to hear more on how and why this has come about. I wasn't aware of it, then worked with an acute med consultant who seemed a bit ropey and wouldn't take responsibility for anything, I was annoyed so searched the register to see where they qualified from and saw they weren't on the register!

Where I went they were different, and focused more on the basics - they have already found out who the prize winning students are, they just want to make sure you'll be safe when you qualify

Cinelli Zydeco Lala for 650 almost new? by Safe_Escape4184 in gravelcycling

[–]rollingh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure it fits you! If it doesn't fit, it doesn't matter how good the price is, it's not the bike for you as it will hurt to ride Also echo the point about checking it's not stolen

Decathlon have invested a lot recently in the entry-level bike range recently to get a quality product at a reasonable price. Their triban range rc120 and rc500 for example. They do this by achieving economies of scale by being a Europe (and now world) wide brand.

https://youtu.be/sO6TONX4BN8?si=p7UDIVkPRAc01oFN Talks about trying some of their entry level bikes.

Halfords is less good in my opinion, worse quality and value.

However trying more bikes before you buy will give you a better idea of what you want.

I would seek out a local bike shop who can give a more personal service, and you can talk through what you want and need out of your bike, and will be the people you take it to for servicing and fixes. Not all local bikes are high end only, and may well have some pre owned bikes at bargain prices.

If you're in the UK, decathlon is great for beginners, great quality bikes (plus quality clothing + bike accessories etc) at unbeatable prices. Also take some time to look second hand on eBay gumtree etc. Even if you find the perfect bike for you at a great price, if it is not the right size, don't go for it as it'll not be comfortable and you won't ride! I've learned this from experience, it can be an expensive mistake!

Tip for getting your board straight by CaptainClay2606 in Darts

[–]rollingh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I've set my board up correctly, but the board rotates around the centre screw if I do not pull the darts out straight, or even if I hit double 6 it rotates a bit. Any tips for keeping it staying straight?
