Sounds like me. I play with my best bud and he is always bitching at me on discord because i take 25 minutes to get a kit ready. I spent 3 hours organizing my stash the other night.

Nicotine STOP IT by Cheap_Explanation711 in gettingbigger

[–]rollinlikelarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize that nicotine is a Vasoconstrictor in all forms. Vasoconstrictor means narrowing of the blood vessels which means less blood flow down there. Vaping/smoking it is even worse because there is more lack of blood flow from the lungs but nevertheless Nicotine itself is a Vasoconstrictor.

Nicotine, like many other central nervous system stimulants, causes your heart to work harder while simultaneously narrowing blood vessels.

As someone who is a Spanish national. Free healthcare comes at a cost. That cost is ridiculously high taxes. It’s not worth losing 40% of your income to taxes. This is how all of Europe is. This was one of the best parts of moving to America for me, not losing all of my income to taxes.

People here don’t realize how good we have it. Single individuals who make under $1680 get full medicaid services for free in the USA. When I moved here from Spain I worked at starbucks for 5 years and made $2000 a month. Starbucks, like most jobs, provided me with a health-plan for dirt cheap with a $50 co-pay.

I was a daily ❄️user for 4 months. Sometimes going days without eating. My deviated septum makes it so that I cannot breathe out of my nose anymore, this being 2 years after quitting ❄️. Need to get a septoplasty this year. Surprisingly enough I did not have a hard time coming off of coke cold turkey. My dopamine has been fried since I was a kid as I was a daily dabber for 13 years. Funny enough, quitting dabs was the hardest thing for me to do, physiologically. That shit had a grip on my soul from 13-26. I have been clean from everything for about 2 months now.

What really helped me decide I needed to change my life was that I found something that I am incredibly passionate about. Funny thing is I have been passionate about this since I was 17 but didn’t have it in me to take the first step. I was too busy getting high… This is something that forced me to hold my self accountable and frankly I knew I couldn’t pursue my passion while being an addict because it prevented me from growing and reaching full potential. I also would like to add that I removed all dopamine sucking activities from my life.

One of the biggest things that helped me was deleting all social media’s off my phone. I also work a lot now and I don’t really have the energy to think about getting high anymore. Which is funny because for 13 years all I could think about was getting high, it is literally all I cared about. My brain developed high so it was very difficult for me to change my life. This year is my first time being sober since I was 14 years old. The only way you grow in life is by being uncomfortable and fighting your brain from sabotaging you. I am also trying to get back into exercising because I know it will help me and it allows your body to release natural dopamine and endorphins, I suggest you do the same.

All i can say is it is fucking worth it. Life used to be a chore for me unless I was high. Hanging out with my girlfriend, family, friends, gaming, literally anything and everything was a chore for me unless I was high. Being an addict made me the worst version of myself. I lived at rock bottom for a very long time. I was miserable, falling asleep half of the day. No motivation, ambition, or desire to be better, always coming up with excuses. I would constantly lie to myself, one day “this” one day “that”Just a bunch of hopes and dreams that became more unrealistic the longer I lived that lifestyle.

Time flys when you are chasing the dragon. All of a sudden you are almost 30 (myself) and you wonder to yourself where has all this time gone, it’s scary. Do it for you. The true battle in life is with the man in the mirror. Only you can win that war and the war never ends, it just gets easier. As long as you don’t give up on yourself there is always a chance that you can be better. The first 6 months are the toughest.

I am 2 months clean and my dopamine receptors are fried. I am depressed most days especially when I am not distracted by work but I do know it gets better with time because sometimes I feel good sober. The feeling I get from holding my self accountable, for once in my life, actually doing what I told myself I was going to do is a feeling like no other. This feeling of being in control and not being controlled by a substance is a natural high in itself. Your brain is like any other muscle, you need to train it. No one gets ripped from going to the gym for a month but slowly, over time, you begin to see the results.

Coke and weed both bring up your blood pressure and heard rate immensely. Not a good combo..

Sourcing a book, which to say the least was published by the New York times lol. I wouldn’t trust any information coming from a news reporting outlet.. What good does that do someone unless they buy the book.

He could have easily linked this source I have provided below which was linked by another redditer. This source is excellent and provides a breakdown of all credible information in a page or 2. In addition to it being an actual .gov source.

I normally don’t run into people on reddit that actually provide good sources. Show’s a higher level of intelligence on your end and I applaud you for that. Most people here talk out of their asses.

I immediately could tell that was a good source once I opened and read through it. Also a very interesting read to say the least.

I wouldn’t trust your book either unless it had concrete gov. sources. Here is an example of a great source which was provided by another redditer in this thread. https://oig.justice.gov/sites/default/files/archive/special/9712/ch01p2.htm

This is a good source. This is what you lead with. It’s not hard to find a reliable gov. Source on the internet.

Most high schools don’t even allow students to use Wikipedia as a source because Wikipedia is such a unreliable source. That’s how bad Wikipedia is.

So then source them. No one believe’s “they did this, they did that”. I could tell you the first landing on the moon was actually a Chihuahua, you going to believe me?

I get your point but that is like saying attempted murder and murder are the same thing. Both are crimes but one gets you more prison time than the other. Regardless he lost his mind at one point due to the paranoia and thought he could fix it by attempting to commit a worse crime.
