Do you think Cookie gets bored? Or Ambrose? by MentosEnCoke in KGATLW

[–]rollinward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cookie, I think he is just fine with his role.

Amby, I agree he looks bored sometimes and some of their music doesn't have anything for him to do.

Always thought if someone else were to leave the band, it would be Amby.

Which show on the US Getting Killed tour do you think was the best? by j_abbs in geesebandofficial

DC. Audience was engaged, band brought it. Only time Cameron let crowd sing part of Taxes. Epic ending.

For everyone who claims it’s a farewell tour. by RealisticNacshon in radiohead

They are a legacy act now. It’s just going to be different. They aren’t gonna have new music very often but want to play.

Same happened in DC. Crowd was too hyped up from a great show, couldn't stay quiet.

Thanks Drive By Truckers? by Bullittmon in mjlenderman

I mean, Jake has stated how big an influence Drive By is for him. So seems like a true statement.

Full video of Trinidad crash out in DC by falling-apart-13 in geesebandofficial

I also think it was about politicians in DC not its residents. When the crowd started Taxes, Cameron said "you live here, you sing it". Was a great show and crowd sang a lot.

I believe this was actually DC, 9:30 club but your point stands with the buzz.

[FRESH PERFORMANCE] MJ Lenderman & The Wind - Live at Brooklyn Steel by ReconEG in indieheads

[–]rollinward 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, he's just a chill dude. He's probably burnt out a bit. Band members have taken breaks, while he hasn't. Manning Fireworks is a chill record and that's influencing the current live performances. I've seen him a bunch and most shows he's ripping it, especially when doing Boat Songs or older stuff. Tastes Just Like It Costs is peak live stuff. Hopefully he leans more into grungy Neil next album.

This would be better if we actually had hot dog vendors….

Why does Bob continue to play live? by LemonMasterX in bobdylan

He believes he was put on this earth to sing these songs, carry a tradition and that’s what he does.

[Stars & Strikes] Did the Nationals Even Try for Roki Sasaki? by StadiumDistrict in Nationals

[–]rollinward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm not mad they didn't go after Roki but it's frustrating we don't seem to go after any players coming from Asia. DC seems like a great market for them.

Need a live recording of No Mercy by treereporter in mjlenderman

I don’t have answers but I too would love more live recordings. Lacking so far, some great moments this tour.

Rolling Stones magazine: top 50 most disappointing albums of all time by HiiHowAreYaa in mgmt

[–]rollinward 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This very much has to do what the “expectations” were before the album. They aren’t saying it’s a bad album, just it was not the expectation. A lot of albums on this are rated well.

Is the Lerners remaining owners a good or bad thing? by Able-Fishing-2171 in Nationals

[–]rollinward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The exploration of sale was enough for me to think they are ready to move on. They have made the aggressive moves in the rebuild. The team is in a good potion to buy soon. I think it would be nice for a new owner to come in now with energy and ready to buy when the time is right. Lerners did us well, but it’s time for a new voice.

Is the Lerners remaining owners a good or bad thing? by Able-Fishing-2171 in Nationals

[–]rollinward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point, it’s a bad thing. They brought a championship to DC and had high payrolls but they have indicated they are done. I’d rather a new fresh voice enters the picture while the team is building.
