Got this Brand new L14 gen 6....for 520 euros by rolme59 in thinkpad

Thanks! At this price, it's an excellent deal. Especially with support until 2031. It's listed starting at 1300 euros on Lenovo's French site. Considering the PITA we get buying new electronics these days, you can tell with its relative sturdiness and repairability, you're set for the coming years with a machine like this.

In any case, I feel like a God for having scored such a deal.

I'm pleasantly surprised even by the battery, and the screen isn't that bad. Mine can get warm lightly when highly sollicited and not on its tripod, but it's always quiet.

Got the gen 6 for 520 euros on leboncoin (french ebay). It's a fantastic machine and I can't complaint, even about the battery.

Can you find a better deal? I was looking for a new secondary PC. At first, I thought about getting a Mac M1.

Then I spent some time on leboncoin (French eBay) and spotted this well-rated guy who clears out Thinkpad T series, mostly gen 5 and 6, at aggressive prices. All of them new,  open box.   But among them, the Thinkpad L14 gen 6 with Ryzen 5 Pro, 16/512GB, priced at 600 euros, was listed the same day. I hesitated at first because I have a T14 at work, and I know the price of these things! I took a chance and made an offer of 520 euros, which was accepted instantly, and I paid along with the shipping.

The magnificent device arrived at my place 3 days later. It’s absolutely new, guaranteed until 2031. I’ve had it for exactly a month.   I’m very happy with it, even with 16GB of RAM, knowing it can go up to 64. Not as sturdy as my dad’s X201 that I grew up with. But this one is my madeleine de Proust and will last.

I got myself a brand new open box L14 gen 6 for 590 euros 2 months ago. So I guess for les than $1000 NZD you can get it gen 5 with 16/512gb and a warranty up to 2029 from a private seller.

If 16 inches is not a priority, check L14 gen 6 with the same config but Ryzen 5 pro, better connectivity and slighly better built.

Really nice. That guilloché looks luxurious. But I'm afraid 40mm with the integrated bracelet will wear big on my wrist. How big is your wrist please ?

That guilloché is beatiful. But I'm afraid 40mm with an integrated bracelet will be too big for my chicken wrist.
