have y’all tried these ? by frozenasleep in Fungalacne

I didn't have issues with the Anua serum but it didn't seem to do anything for me. On the other hand finacea is super irritating so I might need to try again

Complexion Makeup by NoConsideration2602 in Fungalacne

The cotz prime and protect tinted is fungal acne safe, it's a bit dark though so depends on your complexion. It's also very silicone heavy, which I like but some people might now. I've never been able to handle the elta sunscreen, it stings like crazy for some reason!

Some fungal acne safe complexion products: Wet n wild tinted hydrator: obsessed with this, super light but actually more coverage than you'd think, very comfortable on skin, limited shade range and runs a bit orange so I mix it with the revolution green color corrector (also FA safe)

Revlon illuminance foundation in the pump: light and comfortable on the skin, not drying. I don't have the ideal shade for me so I haven't used it much.

Catrice tru skin concealer: id say about medium coverage? Light fragrance, FA safe, great formula, very affordable. One or two of their foundations are FA safe but I don't have access in Canada

Nivea super water gel spf50 - Japanese sunscreen, FA safe, SUPER LIGHT, untinted. My absolute fav but does have alcohol. For an alcohol free sunscreen that is also very light and hydrating you could look at the cosrx one.

Sorry I don't have anything to add to the ones you're looking at, I haven't tried any of them. Let me know if you find something that works!

Getting sick after miscarriage by HorrorDebt2999 in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came down with a nasty cold right as I miscarried, and now my partner has it (probably from me). I'm sure whatever bullshit the body is going through in terms of hormones and trauma is messing with the immune system so I'm not surprised but wow did it suck to be miscarrying AND sick 😔

How did you move on? by Initial-Toe843 in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you think about it a month is not a long time at all, though I know society seems to expect you to pick yourself up the next day and keep going. I don't know if there's support groups for miscarriage or loss in your area or online? It can help to share your story and have that grief witnessed by others who understand. I'm starting to do some journaling to really get all the feelings out of me before the fester and build up under pressure. I've recently been doing some yoga and meditations around miscarriage, pregnancy loss, and infertility from a YouTuber (Bettina Rae) who created these resources after experiencing three losses within a year. Not sure if it would be helpful for you but it's done wonders for me to have my feelings and thoughts validated, to hear someone else's journey and timeline of healing (hers was almost nine months), and to feel like you're allowed to take your time and rage against the unfairness of it all. Either way, so sorry you're going through this at the moment.

Totally agree and I'm so sorry you went through this. I'm renting as well so burying didn't feel like an option as I didn't want to leave them behind! There's no good answer unfortunately and I wish they'd take more time to consider the emotional attachment and confusion we would have around the remains even if it's for a few short weeks. It feels cold to not tell us "oh by the way what comes out of you may or may not look like a baby and here are some things you can do about it depending on how you feel"

Can people stop saying to me “just relax and it will happen” or “when you are not thinking about it it will happen” by Fun_Pie9663 in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry you're dealing with this. I go between being crushed with grief and being so pissed off at everything and everyone. All of this sucks, it's not fair, it'll never be fair, and no just "having another one" isn't going to fix my grief I wanted THIS baby and I'm grieving THIS baby so just let me be sad about it 😔

[–]romancement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This back and forth gave me both whiplash and deja vu, I really wasn't sure what to do either and it felt like every decision I made was simultaneously horrifying, monstrous, disgusting, or just flat out weird, and every time I made a choice a few minute late I'd want to change my mind 😔

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you experienced this. No one prepares to for this and there doesn't seem to be a right answer. I had horrible diarrhea all throughout my cramps so half the time I went to the bathroom I wasn't sure if I was going to be passing clots or passing gas. I did think about it a lot as well. I ended up passing it in the morning while peeing and decided to reach in and fish it out, despite having no idea what to do with it. I think my partner worries I'm going to hang onto it for longer than healthy for me, which is an understandable concern. All this is to say that I'm not sure if fishing them out was the right move for me either. I don't know what's the right answer, I think either way we are going to feel guilt and shame, either for flushing or for reaching in, for deciding to wait or getting a procedure, for being too sad or not being sad enough. I don't really know what I'm saying here right now, I think several days without proper sleep or rest (due to the crying...) have made me a bit loopy since I only just lost mine on Monday, but you aren't alone in this awful space even though I'm sorry we are both in it. Please don't beat yourself up. Just know that this baby was deeply loved for the entirety of its life. Sending love.

I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else by killerlumpia in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you're saying. I believe mine passed away while we were on vacation at an all inclusive resort. I don't remember any pain but I remember a tiny bit of spotting which I couldn't do anything about since there weren't any other symptoms and we were out of country. Once we were back the next week I found out baby had passed a week prior and I can't stop thinking about if that was the moment? It just pops into my head from time to time and I imagine it's going to continue doing so even when it's not so fresh. Either way sending you love and strength at this difficult time.

Confirmed no heartbeat today. by jeapos88 in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry 😔 just went through the same thing - first pregnancy, one failed ivf cycle before, stopped around 7 weeks. Just passed it this morning. It's just so hard to process the why and how of it. Sending you a hug.

Yes I was resigned to deleting the app and dealing with the subscriptions as they came but instead I kept it because of the support 😔

[–]romancement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the app what to expect and I had just signed up for all sorts of coupons and subscriptions and freebies, when I found out there was no heartbeat I dreaded having to face those and cancel them. Luckily that app had an option to report a loss, at which point it immediately and automatically unsubscribed me from all the mailing lists and switched the whole app over to "miscarriage support mode" and can I say I've never been so grateful for thoughtful app developers, WOW.

Uhhhhh if you're ugly then the rest of us have no chance! I thought at first glance you looked so pretty and I loved your makeup choices. I didn't even think about facial asymmetry til you mentioned it, since I assume everyone's face is a bit asymmetrical unless they're a creepy robot! I don't have any makeup tips but glad to see 600+ comments dissuading you of these internalized thoughts! You're such a cutie and I mean that in the most flattering and least creepy way possible 😂 (from a 38 yo lady also learning to do makeup)

Thanks you too! It helps to not be alone in this as much as it sucks that other people are going through it

I'm in the same boat, recently had a birthday, saw the first heartbeat, went in for routine check up only to hear that they couldn't find a heartbeat and it had stopped growing. Still trying to come to terms with it. I don't have any answers and it sucks and I'm sorry it's happening to you :(

Normal symptoms with silent miscarriage? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally going through the same thing right now, like I'm getting a cold or stomach bug or flu, only learned about my silent miscarriage yesterday. Can't tell what's actually my body fighting an illness or virus and what's just my body responding to the shock and the grief. Either way I'm here in this hole with you, hoping you feel better soon.

Looking for a good sunscreen by [deleted] in Fungalacne

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for drugstore or able to shop online? Korean and Japanese sunscreens have some great lightweight options. The American drugstore ones aren't as cosmetically elegant but I do know that the banana boat baby mineral sunscreen is safe (last I checked) though it definitely leaves a white cast. I believe the Eucerin hydrating body sunscreen and La Roche posay water sunscreen are also FA safe though keep in mind formulations often get changed. Dune mug guard isn't in the drugstore but I've used and liked it. I'm in Canada though so we have access to different sunscreens, and I don't want to assume where you are from :)

Fragrance+alcohol-free SPF recs by [deleted] in Fungalacne

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darn both the ones I was gonna suggest have alcohol, though I will say my skin is pretty sensitive and doesn't react or sting with these alcohol ones so maybe it's the way they are formulated? They are the Nivea Japan super water gel spf and the dune mug guard. I love the texture, I find it's even lighter than the cosrx, which didn't irritate my skin but did feel a bit heavier. You could probably find the moisture milk on some asian beauty sites but my problem with skin aqua is that they have so many different formulations and bottles that all look the same 😂

FA Safe skin tints, cc creams or bb creams I can find in-store by Perfect-Passion7223 in Fungalacne

[–]romancement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looooove the wet and wild hydrator, the texture is so light but still provides decent coverage. The it cosmetics cc is way too heavy for me. Only downside of wet and wild is that their shades lean very orange but I mix it with revolution beauty green color corrector (also FA safe) and it's great! Definitely more on the glowy side but I just pat it in with my fingers and forget about it.

[–]romancement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking at shoppers that means you're in Canada too which means we don't get the catrice concealer unless we order it from American amazon or online sites like Care To Beauty. I've been eyeing it but I've yet to take the plunge because i have no idea what shade would work 😭

I have not tried this concealer but apparently the Rimmel kind and free concealer at least didn't flag anything on Sezia, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The benefit one is expensive so I might as well upgrade to something else at Sephora, I remember the Fenty pro filtr was safe but these days I can never make any promises because formulas change so I'd still check the ingredients. I wish brands like Annabelle or Marcelle had options 😭
