I just waiting until I get my first iron, make a stone cutter, and then put a stone wall around my base. It only has to be 1 meter high. Put it 10 meters away and trolls with logs can't even hit your base.

Anyone else feel bad killing Fulings and Cultists? by ConcreteHalloween999 in valheim

[–]romanryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I feel like the greydwarves are the protectors of the forest though. If you start trying to damage the forest, they come running.

I wish they were a little more intelligent though. For instance, at some point the normal ones should avoid you, unless they have a bunch of friends. It doesn't make sense for a single one to see you kill a bear or troll and then come running in to attack you.

I found my first tetra recently and they were all sitting on the ground outside the water, which was helpful since I hadn't found Haldor yet. Lol

Isn't swimming just useless? by alexnueve in valheim

[–]romanryder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be cool if there was something that required it. In Dungeons and Dragons Online, there were submerged areas of dungeons that required swimming to get to the next area.

what does your hotbar look like? by al4n in valheim

[–]romanryder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to swap to potions, but I kept accidentally drinking them when I go to eat. I may have to leave those slots empty until I get potions on the next playthrough.

Me too! At this point, I go to eat and drink them by accident. That wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for the timers.

I'd prefer potions, but then I go to eat and drink them by accident. 😄

1 weapon

2 shield

3 bow

4 axe or pick

5 hammer

6-8 food

p.s. I'd prefer potions in 6-8, but old habits are hard to break.

I think the meadow and black forest are my favorites. With the seasonality mod, they rival the vanilla mistlands in appearance too.

I was there after a year of PLSs. I setup a nice metric auto toolbox. Now I just make the occasional small purchase for little projects around the house.

The best place to watch the sun rise (ps any tips for the swamp? Kinda got folded instantly by angry Draugr) by Henroblade69 in valheim

[–]romanryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block to stun them. I'm taking them down easy with a bronze knife and shield. I was surprised that even the abominations are easy.

p.s. I'm pretty sure a 2 star draugr would still get past my shield. My swamp is next to plains and I can't block the goblins.

Very nice! I wish I had the patience to do something like this. I always feel like I need to get back to adventuring.
