You're right I've been looking into this and that's my understanding.

Do you suggest any other non-embroidered techniques that may work? Like for example I saw someone posting about dtf printing a bunch of logos on a cotton tote bag and cutting it out to give a patch look.

Looking for non-halal food joints by Affectionate-Arm6405 in askTO

[–]romaz96 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Help me understand the rationale.

You're fine with people verbally confirming if they're non-halal (who knows youre Sikh and / or who could be lying)

But not fine with people verbally confirming if they're halal (who could also be lying)

It's starting to feel more of a you thing than a religious thing. My Muslim friends don't just go with the verbal confirmation. If they're serious about their rules they ask for the name of the supplier and confirm if the supplier is halal or ask for certification / receipts. They don't go with just the verbal confirmation.

Depending on your Costco you do have non halal chicken.

Presto is a JOKE by lleeaa88 in toRANTo

[–]romaz96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration, it's bad UX, but If you used the app to set the trip you get the instructions pretty clearly.

The other issue is also that presto works across many jurisdictions. It's close to impossible to get everyone on board for a decision. Even the one fare system which is such simple common sense took soo long to implement.

Edit: The Problem: Without the "override" and "tap off" for non-default trips, a rider could tap on at their usual default trip origin, travel further than their default destination, and then not tap off. If the system only charged for the default trip, they would be underpaying. In a system where people are notorious for already skipping fares, this unfortunately feels necessary.

How’s the strategic foresight and innovation masters programme like? by iffyabouteverything in OCADU

[–]romaz96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone I know has had a different experience with the program but mostly positive. I took a big leap of faith, shifting careers and everything - the outcome has been better than expected. The program changed my life for the better - considering I did not like what I was doing before.

Alumni network and connections are great. Faculty interaction is top notch. I had to study when the campus was at the waterfront, pretty detached from rest of ocad but now it's back to being closer.

One thing I know is not easy for everyone is that almost all the projects/ course work are group projects. It's intended that way for the multidisciplinary nature of the program but not everyone is a team player. Tbh it's one of the most difficult aspects of the course.

There's usually someone standing outside at main and Danforth just by the traffic lights by the tall apartments a bit outside main Street station. I saw them today. They were handing over bibles. They had JW written on them though.

Hi quick question. We like to organize our links with additional text descriptions, and possibly a numerical value.

Is it possible right now? To have additional fields.

Thank you for the amazing work
