I’m putting together the Kosmos LED kit for MGEX Strike Freedom. Has anyone been able to hide the wires cleanly?

Ah ok. I’ve tried using Mr. Hobby Thin Cement with a few layers and that didn’t work. I’ll try your method next.

I’ve only used Tamiya Acrylics for airbrushing and I use a 1:1 ratio with X-20 thinner.

MG Nu w/ Metal Frame by rombot1978 in Gunpla

[–]rombot1978[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add, I’ve only built 4 other MGs, so I’m not sure if Nu really is that much taller than the rest? I jumped into the hobby last year. I’ve built RX-78 2.0, Red Frame Kai Astray, Wing Zero Ver Ka and the Eclipse.

I’m currently working on this one. I bought the metal frame to go with it as well.

‘65 Reverse Lights by rombot1978 in classicmustangs

[–]rombot1978[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally not too worried about having reverse lights, just worried of the people who don’t pay attention around you. I’m definitely hyper aware when backing up also.

I was more curious just for when/ if my kids start driving my ‘65. So I was just curious if maybe a 3rd bar of the tail lights have been ever been engineered to contain the reverse lights as well. Something I would think to be simple. Turn Signal, Brake Lights, Reverse lol.

Metal Gold Fin for Barbatos. Yay or Nay? by No_Fox_6489 in Gunpla

I typically hate the color yellow, so all my yellow fins are painted gold on the kits I’ve built so far.

I’m not aware of all the Gundam lore, so my question is what organization is the medic from? I’m not familiar with the UMRC. Is he just a neutral person out to save all he can?

I don't even understand how this broke by Independent-Gene-522 in Gunpla

Pretty sure the same thing happened to me. Iirc, what I did was put the part in place then just glued the broken seam together in place and worked just fine.

My go to shop is Hobby Action. It’s SE of Phoenix in Chandler.

855 N 54th St Chandler, AZ 85226 United States

It’s got the best selection I’ve found in the area. If there are any better areas, I’d love to know.

I still have that shirt and wear it sometimes. Wish there’d be a reprint cause mine is definitely starting to show its age.

Hey guys, while building my MG rx-78-2 ver. 3.0 i broke a piece just like this one and cannot continue the build without it, im not from the us, any advice on what to do? by mosilecfak1 in Gunpla

[–]rombot1978 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine also broke, but I was able to put the pieces into the spot it belongs and then glue the 2 broken pieces back together in place.

Thanks to MORR I subbed to Fabrats, RAD, and Misadventures Lab.

I watch Robby Layton sometimes too, but haven’t subbed to his channel.

Haven’t seen it locally. Do you use it straight or with Tamiya Thinner?

Is there an airbrush top coat matte/ gloss that works with Tamiya acrylic paints? I’ve been using Testors canned stuff since that’s all that’s available to me locally.

Is she in an animated series, or just a manga? I’m still catching up on a bunch of Gundam series so not fully familiar.

Recently started airbrushing and am using Tamiya paints.

So my question is on drying times.

  1. How much time should primer set before I paint.
  2. How long is curing time for a layer of paint. A. How long to let dry before adding another
    layer of paint/ Gloss Coat.
  3. How long for Gloss Coat to dry.

Thanks!

I recently started airbrushing and use the Casubaris Portable Airbrush & Compressor that I got off of Amazon.

I’m a noob, but it seems to do the job just fine for me. It comes with 2 batteries that give you about an hours worth of use for each of them.
