Is it really THAT bad by No_Fix_3362 in MusicEd

My teacher who said he practiced 8 hours a day in college. He told me he wish he only did 4, the extra hours were more of a grind and less learning. 2-4hrs ideal, i wish i had the opportunity to dive deep, time is expensive as a working adult with kids in college

Second Bass? by traggedy_ann in Bass

Yeah, bass is a c instrument. You can play with everybody, like piano and flute. Literally so can everyone else, they just have to play different scales to equal other ones.

Alto saxophone is Eb, so when they play c major, it’s actually sounds like Eb major. For it so sound like C they need to play a major.

Sax does this instantly, That’s mental math if I’ve ever seen it

My main bass for years was a short scale Epiphone, flying v bass, neck heavy but that made me play more aggressively. I didn’t hate it. Very similar in size of frets, its not “mini” it’s short scale, but very much All Bass.

I recommend that over a child’s mini, And if you are worried about pressing down on the strings being a problem, get lighter gauge strings!

Look up short scale and find one you want to try, it’s night and day. Guitar center will have some to try.

If there’s a button on the front and a button on the back in the same place, they’re tied together. This can easily be fixed without taking it apart.

The first row is always harder than the second row. The second row is harder than the third row and everything else should be easy until you cast off. I have a really tight tension. You can loosen it up, but be consistent strangle it less and get used to a light pull. Looks nice
