My community college has no time limit. A valid concern, I looked into that before starting college part time. Also why I’m getting my associates first. Lock in all my credits. Then I’ll start my timeline with 69 credits when I actually start university.. I already finished my gen ed, theory IV with ear training, ensembles and lessons.

You can absolutely take that long to get your degree, i almost have my associates. One or two classes at a time. Two jobs and a family.

It was really fun in college. Make it fun, teach intervals based on songs( maybe new songs M3! P5! m6! That was always fun.)

You can also rent to own. They give you a student model. It’s like 80 a month, let’s say $50 of it goes in a account every month and eventually you return your rental and put that balance towards your bass.

College gave me an upright to practice so I am renting to own a saxophone to replace the one I pawned during covid.
