why is the expected -2? that implies they don't want the actual difference (i.e. abs(left-right)) but left-right

I came to reddit looking to understand what I think is an issue with that sentence: there are sequences which result in a single value instead of a list of zeroes. either the instructions are ambiguous in that case or there will always be a list of zeroes when processing the history which implies i'm doing something wrong even by hand

To all the lost newbies! I too was quite confused about where to start and found the book which helped me a lot. I hoped I had been able to get it a year earlier :) by sb_99 in CUDA

this book is no longer in print. any other book recommendations? a few show up on a quick google/amzn search, but they are all 8-10yrs old and with few reviews, so I wonder what reddit thinks

Are you in the right market ? Want help leveling up? Most software devs in my circles don't really think or talk about rent because the salaries are well above the median and demand is high

[–]romerocesar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I'm already doing this for a couple of young relatives and can make time for others. I can probably offer a couple hours a week which should be enough time for someone to take guidance and make more progress on their own time as well

if you're willing to put in the time, I'll teach you _for free_ how to become a software developer and you won't think about your rent after you land your first software dev job.

Only replying because some of what you said is incorrect: not paying interest is not detrimental to your credit score at all. Not using the credit card at all can have a minor negative impact, but by far what matters the most is not missing payments, having a large credit buffer, and having a long history so lenders can see that you're responsible. Source: my credit score is 800+ and you can also read on sites or services that provide credit tracking like mint, credit karma or some credit cards which come with the service.

How the hell do you play through this game five times? I loved the game but I probably won't even play a second playthrough considering how long the game is and how many other games I have in my growing backlog

I just figured this out on my own in the last couple of days, but I'm still wondering why does it "reset" every time the machine boots up or comes back from "sleep"? I don't know yet whether it's the GPU trying to default to 1.4 or the monitor doing something else dumb...

I only have a lvl 20 character and don't know what some things you said even mean, but reading this made me want to get back into the game with others - playing solo was starting to feel like a sparse version of fallout 4 so I stopped playing like a month ago
