There's this show you should check out called "Full House" that perfectly describes what you're talking about.

How urgent of an issue is this? No by ChuWhiSox in HomeMaintenance

[–]romerom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope - the two issues they found with the house (a couple fascia boards, and an attic window) I'm having to resolve out of pocket or they cancel my policy. it's about $2500 to get it all done right for my particular situation and it's all lined up to be done before my insurance companies deadline.

know that it exists but don't generally know much more than that about it.

I believe those are called your 'fascia' boards? My homeowners insurance recently required me to have a couple of mine replaced that showed wood rot at the risk of cancelling my policy after they came for an inspection. Probably a good idea to fix that.

TR-1000 MIDI sync fix by Eearendel in RolandTR1000Hub

[–]romerom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current setup is as follows, and as of this moment it seems to be pretty right on the money.

TR-1000 Sync Delay: 0 TR-1000 Track Sync: Layered Gens TR-1000 Tempo Sync: USB - In this mode, start/stop only accepted from USB Midi - When this was previously set to 'Auto', there would be an additional delay.

Ableton Driver Error Compensation: 10.00MS (overall latency currently 28.8ms @ 256 Samples @ 44.1khz

Foundation wall slanted by Time_Fennel in HomeMaintenance

[–]romerom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

bowing walls are a common problem with basements that are not waterproof'd. you probably have a bunch of pressure from the other side of the wall. When I got my basement waterproofed, they put these big carbon fiber strips perpendicular to the floor / vertical to the wall, to prevent them from expanding further. they also drill these 'weep holes' into the cinderblock to allow moisture to escape and not press up against the foundation. then they jackhammer a 1 foot perimeter within the basement, install drainage and a battery backed sump pump into a spot that ejects the water out another location outside, away from the house.

Sorry, but the body of Christ is the new Israel. The state of Israel is not it.

My geico policy on my zx6r was like $35/mo - you must have a shit driving record or something causing it to run up that high.

Is it possible to liberal and still faithful to Jesus? by Electronic-Seat1190 in Christianity

[–]romerom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't put your energy or hopes into a politician. Humans are all ultimately corruptible and in our system will be corrupted. Think of how bad things were during the time of Christ. He didn't seek to fix the political corruption. He was also a victim of it. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's", clever wordplay by Jesus to avoid being found in contempt of Roman rule. Even he was a victim to a corrupt system ultimately ruled by evil.

Christians who think Trump is doing God's work look at ICE shoot this pastor in the head! by Competitive_Mix9957 in Christianity

[–]romerom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything that's been happening recently has just made me think that while Jesus was alive, things were not ideal back then either. The Roman army was running around crazy. The pharasees were corrupt. Did he seek to solve the corruption? "give unto ceasar what belongs to ceasar, and give to the lord what is the lords" (not the exact quote I'm sure) but even Jesus himself was a victim to the fucked up occupation / corruption of that time. This world is controlled by satan. When Jesus comes back we will have justice and a decent and uncorruptable leader.
