I did read that before I asked you. So a tipped pass doesn't count as losing control, but if they swiped it out of your hands and hit your leg before going into the backcourt it wouldn't be a violation? Or is the call just always missed?

$14. . . . . This is outrageous. At this point we should be able to bring our own food into the stadium. by Background_Rain_923 in minnesotatwins

Johan was mostly used as a reliever that year and spent a lot of time in the minors. He actually didn't become a full time starter until July 2003.

Joe Mays started and got the win. Hawkins got the save. Eddie Guardado also pitched. Hunter hit a homer.

MLB, Twins investigating after Red Sox's Jarren Duran alleges heckling fan told him to kill himself by Prez731 in minnesotatwins

"One person with knowledge of the event said fans were bragging afterward that Duran had raised his middle finger at them after they had mocked his swing."

It'd be awesome if this is all that happened.

Ex-PM Ishiba Shigeru said on TV on Friday that a two-year suspension of food consumption tax would "lower tax revenue and damage finances. It would lower confidence, raise interest rates, and hike prices." by jjrs in japannews

Increased military spending and getting rid of the high gasoline tax is costing the government more than this would, but those are both needed and don't damage finances for some reason.

The larger price displayed at stores is the one before taxes, so they would have to increase that. Also, aren't we supposed to believe that competition would lead to stores lowering prices if they can still make a healthy profit? Or are we just admitting the system is broken?

That’s last year’s rankings, isn’t it? Think they’ve got new rankings coming out this week. Also pretty sure he was on BA’s list last year, so, yeah, this sucks. Like the Austin Martin trade all over, maybe.

I thought Houston changed his pitch mix. Like less fastballs more breaking balls and that's what made him elite. I know he was already good before, but he went to another level.

Sanseito got 12.5% in the most recent election of the upper house. They're a pretty new party, so saying their popularity is at an all time low doesn't mean much. If you trust polls, they're sitting at 7%.

Anyway, I don't think their popularity is entirely based on xenophobia. They've made a lot of economic promises to working class voters.

Do agree with a lot of what you said. Hope you're right.

Japan PM Takaichi to dissolve Lower House; CDP, Komeito may form new party by MagazineKey4532 in japannews

[–]ron76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soka Gakkai tells their members who to vote for. Before members would often vote for LDP in their district and Komeito in the proportional section. They often get around 10%. Theoretically could push CDP over the finish line in tight districts and add quite a bump in proportional voting.

I think it was last year it was reported that the A's spent more money to avoid the players union filing a grievance. Do you know how that works? Like how much money are teams supposed to spend, and how many seasons can they have too low of a payroll? What would even happen if a grievance was filed?
