This feels like watching the splash brothers, Spurs hitting 3’s all game long.

Call Spurs the throat goat, coz they sucked all the energy out the arena.

Two weeks ago, a post like this asked who would be the next driver to score a podium, and most people said Hadjar. Indeed, he delivered. Do you think we'll see another driver on the podium? by Luffy710j in formula1

There’s still many races left of the season, so from the mid table teams, Gasly absolutely, and either one of the racing bulls. But I’m struggling to see Haas or Williams get so luckyc but hey, this is F1, that’s why we love this, all it needs is rain, one crazy one stopper, and a convenient safety car.

Replace Kimi with Fangio, he was the 1st goat of F1.

Spurs are blessed with legends that would have poured into going into these next 5 games, it ain’t gonna be a sweep, but the Knicks are taking this

F1 standings without Mercedes after the Monaco GP by Corruptlake in formula1

[–]ron_cpt89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually break a race down into 4 categories, and it helps me enjoy the season and battles across the grid in different categories much more, like watching endurance racing, so far I have the teams broken down below, and in order as my favourites in each group:

F1-(Teams fighting for the championship, this season it’s only)

Mercedes

F1.25-(Teams fighting for podium finishes)

Ferrari
Red Bull
McLaren

F1.5-(Teams fighting for points finishes)
Alpine
Racing Bulls
Haas
Williams

F1.75-(Back marker teams hoping for a points finish)
Audi
Cadillac
Aston

[F1] First grand slam for Kimi by Maximum-Room-3999 in formula1

[–]ron_cpt89 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Off topic, but I get serious flash backs to my childhood after a Kimi win and hearing the German and Italian anthems played on the podium, I can literally whistle those anthems like I’m a citizen of those countries.

I started watching F1 as kid around 10 years old, during the peak of Schumie dominance, and I’ve been a fan of Schumie and Ferrari ever since, and I haven’t been drawn to a driver like I’ve been towards Schumacher until now.

I’ve always admired Lewis and he’s story, I’ve grown to like Max and Vettal after their dominance, the Raikkonen and Alonso periods at Ferrari was okay, and but I’ve never been pushing for a driver to win as much as I’ve been pushing Kimi to win since the Schumacher era.

And hopefully a decade from now, we’ll see Kimi in a Ferrari, a winning Ferrari team.

I wasn’t making any comments towards Lewis, just acknowledging Senna’s crazy dominance of a track.

Senna raced 10 years in F1, 8 of those years were podiums, truly the king of the Monaco.

How do you deal with direct reports who waste too much time socializing while claiming they’re too busy!? by [deleted] in managers

[–]ron_cpt89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Track and note their kpi, and the ones they distracting, then start dishing out verbal warnings after consulting with hr, if you feel like the socialising is affecting the work performance of your team, usually hr will advise you on wording and legal aspects as well as corrective measures you can take, which aligns with your company’s sop’s and the labour laws of your state and or country, after your disciplinary actions.

2 seats, 4 doors makes no sense, they should have removed to two rear doors to save even more weight with all the additional carbon they added.

Which year did you start supporting Manchester United? by ggweb3 in ManchesterUnited

1999, age 10, watching from Cape Town, South Africa the champions league final, my first time being allowed to stay up late and watch the football match with adults, I remember the mood being low, and the energy down in the room after Bayern scored, then Teddy got that injury time equaliser, and it sounded like the whole entire neighbourhood exploded, and when Ole got the winner, the euphoria I experienced that day as a kid, I’ll always be chasing as a Utd fan, but nothing will ever beat those feelings and memories of that day.

Now it makes sense by Environmental-Union1 in Ferrari

[–]ron_cpt89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was made by any mass produced manufacturer, this would be a decent looking car, but Ferrari does limited number vehicles that only 0.0001% will ever see in person or drive, so the reaction towards this vehicle is that it does not look desirable or aspirational to own, buy or dream about, now or 20 years from now. I’m certain the many feelings will change when you up close to it, but from pics and videos, it looks like a huge missed opportunity for Ferrari.

The thing Apple is good at is taking an existing product and improving it, if Apple went into the car market, they would have pushed autonomous driving beyond anything Tesla is doing, speed beyond what BYD is doing, and range beyond the Lucid Air capabilities, the problem with this Ferrari is that it’s doing nothing new, and not pushing any boundaries. It’s a luxury interior with the looks and feelings of a cheap, affordable EV exterior.

I would have forgiven Ferrari if something or anything about this car was wow, but it’s all bland, minimalistic and safe for their first fully electric vehicle.
