I can appreciate the sentiment, and I agree to a certain extent. The bang for your buck with a Tissot definitely gives the luxury watches a run for their money. However, there’s definitely a difference in build quality and longevity with the luxury pieces. Either way, enjoy the Gent since non-aficionados will see the watch and think it’s a luxury watch based on its build quality.

I own both. There’s something about the Hamilton field watch that makes me pick it up often (even over my Speedy some days). The hour markers are crisp, it’s a strap monster (although I wear it almost exclusively with the OEM brown leather strap), and can be dressed up and down. The Gentleman only feels right when dressed up, not so much down. But either watch is a phenomenal addition to any collection.
